There are a couple of ethnic stores and whole sellers that offer these in The Netherlands as well. Besides Osteen mangoes, these are the best mangoes that I have found here in The Netherlands. I buy them by the box, 6 kilos for 32 euros. I love them because they are full of flavour, sweet and are very fibrous. I generally dislike mangoes that have been cultivated specifically for the European market because they generally have the fibre bred out of them, which IMHO diminishes the flavour and ruins the texture. The seller told me that the season lasts from January up until about July, he said early in the season they are a bit more sour, later on they become sweeter. These mangoes are very popular among ethnic peoples here.

If you see a mango from the Dominican Republic that looks like this one with green patches on it, then it is most likely the Mingolo mango. Great taste, and very fibrous for a M. indica mango. The label on the box only rarely has the variety name on it, often it states ripe mango, mango maduro, or the field is simply left blank. Mango crema, however, I haven’t seen yet.

It shows up a very similar fruit under the name "mingolo mango" in relation to the Dominican republic... 🤔...

If an import mango is almost on the supreme scale of taste... it definitely is, when properly ripened on the tree! I see this with Israeli import mangos, top taste, but then, the same varieties grown here taste 2 times better!
