I remember everything,it was bloody, using violence,we saw the trucks of defense force at night collecting hostel dwellers carrying spears dropping them in the townships to go and kill ANC supporters, people flee theirs homes and then they occupied their homes. I remember Khumalo street, a no go area,i remember the journalist who was shot from Thokoza hostel by a sniper, he lied dead on the street because ambulances were scared to venture into the hotel,he died clutching his camera,i forgot his surname and he was brave covering the political violence,he was so young MHSRP.🙏

Wasn't it a civil war between two political parties? I'm just asking.....at the end of the day everyone has a right to choose how he or she wants to remember the man. I will always remember Buthelezi as a true gentleman and a man of integrity and peace. Unlike most superhero politicians who not until now people have realized that they sold us out, he stood side side-by-side with his own people, and for that, I respect him. Him as a man of violence, I don't knw where that comes from... because if he was a man of violence as these tired old men says, he wouldn't have left the ANC after it had decided to embark on an arms struggle. Buthelezi was without a doubt a man of peace....the ANC pushed him too hard and he had to react. And what these hypocrites don't mention is that during the civil war most of the people who died were IFP supporters. Who killed them? Surely the prince would not kill his own supporters. SA is now becoming if not already a failed state. This should tell us that the man knew what he was fighting for......your Mandelas chose the wrong path. How I wish my KZN became an independent state.

Unfortunately we can't separate u Bab Buthelezi to all those atrocious acts like all the other politians who did such acts and hid them with so called good dids. We are here living the mess they left behind. Buthelezi stood by what he believed in. I look at the streets of our country today while everyone is busy painting him as only bad. He worked hard as Minister of Home Affairs made sure that if you in South Africa as immigrant you have proper documentation and we know why you here. Political analysts like Justice are so empty. The late prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi did infact apologize for the violence the IFP was involved. There is s speech on KZfaq that he made. He did not refuse to participate in the elections but wanted the interest of the Zulu monarch to be on the agenda. We must put facts not subjective opinions. I just want imagine if the ANC negotiated in the same manner we would have gotten way more out of the negotiations. Till today no monarch in RSA gets such recognition or budget as the Zulu monarch.
