Did anyone notice the pure Acting skills when he said shobana not to go. The facial expressions he used in his face. At a same time he shows innocents, angry, sad, susprice, and his feelings in a single seen. The Acting level of Sureshgopi had no comparison.

More than Jyothika's overacting what I hate the most about Chandramukhi is, Rajni sir wants to play everything, he wants to be the psychiatrist, he wants to be the villain, he wants to be the one to do the sacrifice. Then why was Prabhu casted? This could've been made a mono act performance instead of a movie.😏

Honestly, the difference is mostly the fact that the original is a female led film, and by bringing in Rajinikanth, they made it more of a hero film, if they just focused on the female, it would help.

In my opinion shobana mam, ❤is legend, in malayalam industry, No one else can act like Shobhana Maam in " Manichitrathaazh "movie, ( acting, perfection and all in all legend lady shobana mam ) ❤ , She won the National Film Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances in the Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993)

Chandramukhi looks like a TV serial. While Manichitratazhu with its amazing background score, sound design, unbelievable acting, screenplay is just another level, especially when you consider that it's decades older than the Tamil and Hindi remakes.

Yes....the music also played a very important role .....it really gave us the feeling that the house and shobhana's character were haunted.....the film direction was epic.....when I was a kid I believed at that time that it was a haunted movie.....I was so scared to watch that movie again.....felt scared without actually seeing anything meant to be haunting......

Jyotika's dance? No knowledge of rasas, expressions and mudras, and you say she is a trained classical dancer. She has just given wrong expressions at wrong times with overacting throughout the song and whole movie. I wonder had she even gone through the script and understood where she stood before jumping into the movie just for money and fame? Nothing to appreciate.
