Looks great! I appreciate the tip of draining the ricotta. I love at the end when Nonna says "I love you my baby." I want a Nonna too!

Awesome dish and I will definitely be watching you closely. This taste as good as it looks! I added some chopped beef and some ground sausage to the sauce and it was a very big hit on the dinner table. I am Spanish, but my foster parents were both Italian and I do most of the cooking in my house. My wife is Indian from India and she cooks the Indian dishes and my daughter, well, she's crazy but we all loved your Manicotti, thanks.

Do the eggs need to be pasteurized or can use the non pasteurized eggs?
@tempestfury83242 жыл бұрын
You have a bunch of hens laying eggs? It's always best to use pasteurized eggs in recipes when not cooking them directly.

Can i use cannelloni is there diffrence between them and manicotti
@splash59745 жыл бұрын
To me, these seem more like cannelloni anyways...my mother always made manicotti, and they were more like a crepe shell.
@stevehetzel62055 жыл бұрын
Both of you are beautiful ladies! Great recipe many thanks! Do you ever use TUMA cheese (baby pecorino) in your cooking. Mamma was Sicilian and preferred it to mozzarella.

Did I miss the garlic? Or no garlic?
@vickybartistry32924 жыл бұрын
I have always just used regular ricotta and it is just fine, no reason to complicate it. And it’s a lot of cheese no reason to salt it.
@1John5-13-Lisa6 ай бұрын
Agreed
@splash59745 жыл бұрын
Rossella, im a little confused... Are these not cannelloni? My mother always made manicotti from scratch, and it resembles more of a smooth crepe shell that gets rolled. I thought the tube style are the cannelloni... Maybe you can explain better? They look delicious btw! Molto buona😘
@user-fo4jw8vf8z4 жыл бұрын
Just the opposite. Every cannelloni I have seen is smooth, with no ridges and every manicotti that I have seen has had ridges down the sides on one side of the pasta.
@splash59744 жыл бұрын
@@user-fo4jw8vf8z You could have smooth or ridged style for cannelloni, but the are cylindrical and you stuff them. A manicotti is more like a crepe. Very thin and you place your ingredients down the center and roll it up! I know ,cause we are Italian. Lol I've jad them in Italy aswell. It's something that get confused here in North America... I have friends that think the same, but it's wrong.

It looks fantastic and I can't wait to try it but I am surprised no garlic was used in the sauce. My mom & Nonna always put garlic in any tomato sauce.

Virginia Stucko when my Nonna makes a pasta that has ricotta she never puts garlic. Only onion.

Thank you, Rosella. It may be a regional thing. My family is from Termini Imerese, Sicily.

Garlic is not always used in Italian food. I learned that fact from the Vincenzo videos.

I love this episode as I love all of the others I’ve seen so far… But Rossella , I know you love Nonna, but why you never her? She always kiss you when you stick out your cheek. Why are you never return the kiss to her cheek? Just asking… 😍 is that just the Italian way? If so, please excuse my question.🙃

The host was more interested of having her fifteen minutes of fame that she didn't even let Nonna get involved. Nonna wanted to get into the making of the dish but that woman wanted it all for herself. Too bad because we could have learned a lot of Old World know how. Terrible host
