You are brilliant at describing books. So well spoken. I wish I could be as eloquent as you in my videos. I struggled with Eileen. And I loved - Adichie's new book - so powerful to read in so few words. And I love Bromens. I need to get back there!

I mean, first things first, you are so good at editing your videos! I lost count on have many times I started laughing during this video. So good! I've heard many mixed reviews about Eileen, but after this review, I really think I'll have to read it. I've been a bit hesitant and excited about that book all at once, but I can't put it off any longer! I got to see for myself what it's all about! =)

What a darling of a video this was - and you were just as articulate as always so no need to worry :) though I know the feeling when haven't filmed in a while. I still have Eileen from the library but keep putting off actually reading though definitely want to someday. I like what you said about Cathy relating to CBT and think something I'd be interested in. And I need to read more Chimamanda - I've still only read Americanah and Everyone Should Be A Feminist xx

Hello Vix! I believe this is my first comment on any of your videos, though I've watched a few of them now. Oh, Eileen... I have to say, that's a book that I will probably avoid. I can understand from a sort of objective perspective why it might be an interesting read, but I tend to shy away from media that seem gratuitous in its presentation of violence or other disturbing things. To an extent, I'm always left with a questioning "why?" in the back of my head. It makes me worry that I'm too sensitive or not modern enough, but oh well. The idea of such an entirely unsympathetic protagonist, though, does seem a fascinating experiment. Your summary of Dear Ijaewele was great, and definitely makes me want to pick up a copy! I really enjoyed Purple Hibiscus, though that's the only work of Adichie's that I've read.
