Fun fact, Theia is the name of the planet theorized to have hit Earth billions of years ago which led to the formation of the moon. Seems like in this universe Theia (or Antiterra) and Earth settled into a stable binary system instead of colliding. So the Earth in the Antiterra universe would actually be smaller than our Earth since it's lacking the mass from Theia.

The moon is only a little smaller than Theia was, so I think it may have been fine. If Theia and the Earth did not collide, then the Earth would have a weaker magnetic field and possibly no atmosphere or at least a weaker atmosphere. I am not sure if it would be physically possible for a binary planet system to exist where the planets did not collide because otherwise, they would not have a stable orbit with each other.

I've noticed as well that AZ keeps getting lumped into the Blue half of the US lately on these maps. As someone that's lived here for some time now, I think the state would be heavily contested. We do seem to be continuously colonized by Californians unfortunately and have been pushed to the left more and more but there is a very strong "red" population here and a very active 2nd amendment crowd. I certainly wouldn't call AZ a sure thing for a team blue in these scenarios.

Fun fact: the name Théia is actually the same name of a planet that actually existed, and was actually exactly how it was said in 7:33, Theia was the planet that had the same orbit as earth, after a while that planet have "Broken" away from the orbit and have collisioned with the Earth, so i'm pretty sure in that universe the planets wouldn't have collisioned and would just continue orbiting the sun and also, when the collision happened 2 changed for earth, 1 it got a little bit of mass, being quite bigger and 2 they got a lil nice friend, that we all know as "Moon"

7:59 In this scenario, the moon would not exist. Because If we look closely, Antiterra is actually Theia, earth's long lost sister. The collision of Theia was the actual backbone of humanity, as it caused the creation of the moon, hence allowing life to exist. The moon has protected earth without completely scrambling up the surface of the earth, which will be likely impossible with another planet, which would make tsunamis look tiny. Just imagine the regular beach days with waves as tall as Empire State Building

If you look at the major population centers in that part of France, I don't think it would have had as much as an effect as you predicted. The people would have settled the larger Cities more, and you might have had a greater concentration of power. I think France would have dominated the area with such high population cities. Bordeaux would probably have thrived situated that close to the Ocean.

Earth-Moon system actually is the best candidate for a binary planet in the solar system: The Earth to Moon mass ratio is 1/81 which is waaaay higher than any other planet-to-moon mass ratio (excluding dwarf planets). All others are way below 1/4000. The Moon is also big enough to significantly shift the center of mass of the system from the center of the Earth (both Earth and Moon orbit around a point 4670 km away from Earth's center).

You'd think England would be better off if you flooded France but if you look closely you can see that mostly the Normandy and Aquitaine are flooded. Both territories held by England before the 100-years war. Also no William the Conqueror without the Normandy. Maybe England would stay splintered for a lot longer. People always think that if DDay failed the Soviet union still would have won which is wrong. The Soviet union was bled out and the average soldier had no desire to fight anymore. Mass Mutiny and units unwilling to go to battle were very common even in 1945. If the Axis pushed out the Allies then a lot of Units and especially Tank Units could have been transferred to the east. The Soviets wouldnt have been able to the defeat the germans alone.
