When i was in school the education system tried to divide us by, saying Mexican, Chicano, hispanics, Native Americans are different races. They didnt really teach us about our cultures...only we were inferior towards each other. I hope we can learn the truth, so the kids understand.

The difference is most wars are waged for noble purposes (talking US). Defending countries that can't defend themselves, taking out dictators who slaughter their own citizens (lookup Saddam and Kurds in Northern Iraq). The war(s) gangsters bring in the streets is mostly over drug territory or beef gets started over something frivolous like a guy from another neighborhood sleeps with your girl and you get at him and now it's on between 2 neighborhoods. Any nobility in that? Most people in the neighborhoods rent or their family rents. The land is owned by someone else, whether it's the state or a land owner or whatever/whomever else. It's not "their" neighborhood. I used to think the same way until I got older and realized I need to get my own land to raise my family on and that is my home/neighborhood.

I think this guy has good intentions and I can see the humanity in him, but some of the things he is saying shows that the gang mentality is extremely strong. Gangs and gangbanging is wrong and counter intuitive to our survival. Period. You can’t justify or condone it at all. Instead of showing your kids how to use a gun properly, show them how to be kind and care for others. Also don’t just think of only your community as those you should be protecting. All people should be viewed that way. It’s easy to take that message of protecting your community and people and then inflicting pain on other communities that don’t look like you or reside in the same place. We need to learn to love and leave gangbaning in the past. It does no good for those in the gangs or in the community where the gangs reside. Sorry for the rant but gangbanging needs to stop all together. I hope this brother is able to lead a prosperous and safe life. Peace
