From someone who has been following MC from the start of her career, my opinion is this - when she began facing vocal challenges and unpredictability with vocal range, all she needed to do was take the much-needed vocal rest, make the adjustments to her songs into the lower keys that would better suit her current voice, and be confident in the fact that she still is and always will be one of the most creative, gifted, and talented singers of all time. Remember, she is A SKILLED VOCALIST, A REAL SINGER - not an entertainer like some they refer to as "singers" today.

Her voice was never overworked. She did not do many tours and she always lipsync. Whitney on the other hand did not lipsync even at her worst and she is present on stage unlike this lifelessness. An impersonator would have been better and lipsync for her life.

@@librnx1988 ummm, they both lip sync to pre recorded music. They both recorded themselves singing and produce, mix and engineer their vocals to be exactly as they want them to be. They both charge their fans money to come watch them pretend to sing. That is what they have in common. You shouldn’t be so shy to admit that you are incredibly disappointed that your fave, a so called generational vocalist, and Britney Spears have the exact same approach to demonstrating their talent in concert….. the place where it actually counts. She needs to prove that fact to be incorrect. She needs to prove that she’s not a studio created hack propped up by corporate dinosaurs making their nut every Christmas while she struggles the rest of the year pretending to be what she was for 15 minutes 35 years ago. She has so much to prove to justify consideration as the best voice of our generation.

And then tell Barbara Streisand, Patti laBelle, Anita Baker and Chante Moore about how lip syncing would preserve their voices. Whitney limped onstage with 3.2% of her original voice and still did not fake it. Because when you’re a vocalist, you don’t do that shi
