Breakfast area opens up in local 'restaurants' called hawkers or coffeeshops as early as 7am.

Not true that nothing in Singapore is opened until 9 to 10am. Tourists are not aware of the affordable and value for money alternatives in many of the HdB heartlands as their holiday plans are centred around the touristic places which are more costly, of course.
