Amongst true friends there shouldn’t be any fear or shame about splitting the bill. If you can’t ask to split to the bill, then you probably shouldn’t be eating with them anyways tbh.

I shouldn't even have to explain my budget/financial situation to people. I will pay for what I ate. I'm even making it easier by taking myself out of the equation.

I paid last once and ended up paying the service charge kmt. I didn’t even see the receipt until everyone had paid. I was fuming coz it was a work dinner. Anyway left that toxic workplace

I agree with adeola Most times me and my friends only say we’re going to go out to eat or one of us suggest it we don’t even really have to say oh I don’t have the money or anything we just pay for each other and we know that the next time I got you
