First you have to screen for it (paper work as an 0300 plus more). Then you have to take the indoc (indoctrination). After all that you will be ask to join the platoon called STA, your schooling starts right after, by the way you could be dropped at any time. So it is a long journey to actually become scout sniper. A lot has changed since the mid 90s… to explain how hard that school is, I attended and graduated Scout/Sniper School… in that class, we started with approximately 70 people… only around 15 of us graduated… and that was an abnormally large graduating class… usually, the number that graduated was 10 or under…

Sure, but you might get sent to it when you get to your MARSOC unit either way

Getting through boot camp would be the most beneficial for getting into MARSOC. Focus on that first.

Focus on creating a full plan to become successful in any dream you aspire too before even calling a recruiter. Because once you already got the ball rolling, it's hard to stop and think where you're going.

Stalking is by far the most difficult part of the school. The shooting is easy (if you have a half decent spotter). - Just noticed, Im in this video. Neat.

I'm thinking of being just a Machine Gunner at first in the infantry and then try out for Scout Snipers if I ever get the opportunity and qualify to do so.

Can’t enter as a sniper on contract, quickest way is be a rifleman and get into the sniper indoc

Scout Sniper isn't a primary MOS, so you can't get it in your contract
