remember in Orion society the men are the real slaves, the so called Orion slave girls rule with their pheromones and pretend to be slaves to lower alien males defences So as an Orion male he's probably spent his life being told what to do by women using chemaicls to enforce their will on him regardless of his personal desires!

This encounter they were simply called there and accepted their message. Over all they were playing tough out of fear, think about people attacking you base on your race thinking your a savage. @@thesidneychan Yes. The inside joke for most of the pre-internet knowing about the Original Series called it "TOS" to distinguish it from TNG on including DS9, VOY, and later DSC, PIC, and SNW. The meta joke in this episode is winking at TOS by saying "Those Old Scientists" because the cast of the Cerritos in LD had kept referring to the "TOS" period. I really do love how Boimler and Mariner have the same (or better) chemistry in this episode! The translation from animation to live action was flawless. I know it would have been gimmicky but I would've loved to see Captain Freeman or Rutherford and Tendi irl too 😍
@pendrake40
@pendrake40 11 ай бұрын
*@blueskybelyr --* As I Replied on another Comment, some live-play translations between LD-animation would be easy; while others, far more difficult... *;)* 1.) *_Eugene Cordero_* could _easily_ live-played Samathan Rutherford. Whether they would use a physical prothesis for Rutherford's cybernetic implant (a la Jeri Ryan, aka Seven of Nine) or CG-animate it in, is debatable. 2.) *_Noel Wells_* would have be far more difficult for live-play portrayal, because while D'Vana Tendi is as animated as close to Wells in Real Life as possible, Wells is *NOT* Tendi's (animated) height and build; so what would have be a needlessly complicated (physical) portrayal issue. 3.) *_Dawnn Lewis_* live-playing Captain Carol Freeman is also more nebulous. Like [Wells &Tendi], Captain Freeman is also broadly animated as close to Lewis as possible. But like [Wells & Tendi], Lewis does not match Captain Freeman for height in terms animation vs. Real Life; though I am certain Lewis does have the same (physical) build as Captain Freeman, but definitely not the hairstyle (though that is far more solvable, of course).

I'm good it's always space machines exploring strange new worlds and kicking butt. Protocol is for people who need to be told what to do which I don't " In other words mariner is Kirk like . @@Graniteheart -- That depends upon whether Noel Wells' (D'Vana Tendi) hair is Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) level long, or if Wells is Fisher-level stubborn about said hair(s). *;)* I _(purely speculative)_ think that if Wells height and build were close(r) enough to live-portray Tendi, that Wells probably would have (voluntarily) taken the hairstyle hit and gone with the full Tendi hairstyle-cut & -coloring, in order to bring Tendi onto the live-play screen. And who knows..? With (relatively) successful de-aging technology from *[Captain Marvel (2019) film]* and Fantasy Dwarves from the *[Middle Earth film franchise],* we may see such live-portrayal in future LD-SNW CrossOvers... *:)*

@@pendrake40 Wells would probably need an earlier call for her makeup. All exposed flesh would need to be green unless they are going to CGI her appearance but that will be a first class pain. One thing I found out from Lucifer, is the tracking markers keep falling off, and probably uncomfortable on the face.

0:58 Now that you mention it, I would love to see what Noel Wells would look like with green Orion makeup and the same haircut as D'Vana Tendi. She is already adorable in the animation. I think D'Vana Tendi would still be adorable if Noel Wells played her in live-action. 😉

The four Starfleet personnel in here are all time travelers. Also pointless observation: there's one thing I've realized, the horonium used to return back to the future is the same horonium that activated to drag Boimler to the past, meaning they had enough juice for more trips.

Does anyone else hope that there will be another crossover episode of some sort which the whole ship and crew on Lower Decks somehow gets sucked into a portal with Strange New Worlds by some sort of stupid move like a rogue Q or time traveler that also some how brings in the Jeri Ryan's Enterprise which all three ships have to work together to stop this rogue Q or some kind of time traveler?
