All game footage featured in this video was used with permission from NintenU.
Here are my retro track predictions for Mario Kart 9. All of these courses are on here for a reason and I chose them all carefully, looking at other prediction videos on KZfaq as well as other forums to come up with the best possible selection. I also have a Mario Kart 9: Roster Predictions video so check that out as well.

GCN Bowser Castle will NEVER appear in Mario Kart 9, and here's why. First off, it doesn't make sense to remake a Bowser's Castle course when they haven't even brought back ONE SNES Bowser Castle course. Secondly, if you look closely, there's a pattern in the retro tracks. Ever since Mario Kart Wii, the third course from the Lightning Cup is the last course that was in the Star Cup two games before. Think about that. Mario Kart Wii had GCN DK Mountain, Mario Kart 7 had DS Airship Fortress, and Mario Kart 8 had Wii Grumble Volcano. As a result, I don't think Nintendo would break a tradition that has been here for three games already. You learn something new every day.

I couldnt see neo bowser city being in lightning cup. Because when you think about it, Grumble Volcano, DK Mountain and Airship Fortress are pretty hard maps, Neo Bowser City, not so much. I mean, i could see it get buffed up to be hard and with the new features in mk9 we dont know about there could be something that makes it really hard. But one of the biggest reasons it probably wont be it is because 1. it was in the dlc for mk8 and 2. They didnt update it too much then. So if they couldnt update it in the next game too much at all besides graphics, then theyre gonna probably wait a few games for a new mechanic to come out to make NBC hard and rightfully put it in lightning cup. Or, they could just put it in some other cup idk

CHAN YUK LAM I'd agree, but Warriors Colleseum should go in the Lightning cup instead of the Wii's Daisy Circuit

I really started to notice something -- many MK9 Prediction videos have N64 Wario Stadium and GBA Sunset Wilds being put into the same cup, be it the Banana or Leaf Cup. I also did, but on a Prediction list I made on my iPod (in my overall 3rd Prediction, 2nd and 3rd tracks in the Leaf Cup, to be precise).

My Predictions Shell Cup: DS Mario Circuit SNES Koopa Beach 1 GBA Riverside Park Wii Toad's Factory Banana Cup: 3DS Wuhu Loop SNES Bowser's Castle 3 (Weird we haven't gotten one yet) DS Shroom Ridge Wii U Shy Guy Falls Leaf Cup: GBA Sunset Wilds Wii DK Summit Wii U Wild Woods GCN Wario Colosseum Lightning Cup: Wii U Cloudtop Cruise N64 Wario Stadium GCN Bowser Castle 3DS Rainbow Road (Screw the pattern thing, this is the best and the one that should return) So in the end: SNES: 2 N64: 1 GBA: 2 GCN: 2 DS: 2 Wii: 2 3DS: 2 Wii U: 3 That's as even as they can get!

+Jack Clark I actually had Wild Woods on here (because I love that track so much!) but I'm not sure if they'd put a DLC track. I had it as the last course of the Shell because it's not that hard.

WII U Electrodrome feels out of place in the banana cup, I see the Leaf Cup more appropriate for it.

I think Lightning Cup would be better, since Electrodrome is full of electricity, and, lightning also resembles electricity.

It was only hard because of the controls back then. If you use Mario Kart 8 controls it could definitely be in the Shell Cup

I can see your list happening as well. However, I don't think they'd have two Bowser's Castles. Other than that, I think it's a pretty good list. I can't believe I didn't think of 3DS Mario Circuit! I'd take that over Luigi Circuit! (and also, I think 3DS Mario Circuit should be the first race of the Shell Cup so you can replace MK Stadium with Electrodrome somewhere. Just my opinion though).

The biggest nonsense of Nintendo is to turn Rainbow Road into a Retro Course! Why? This is a track that appears lastly in every single MK game! Nevertheless, it is not the same as remaking Bowser's Castle from previous games (save for SNES Bowser's Castles, cos' it'd be mistaken for GBA ones) P.S.: I reckon this is why N64 Wario Stadium hasn't yet become a Retro Course
