Hey guys so today we´ll be wrapping it up with subdivision. In summary, support loops help us define the highlights, edge flow will control the direction of the highlight. Divisions will establish the stability of the mesh and establish a base for further refinements. In case you missed the full topic, I highly recommend checking three videos just before this one. Cheers -mario

So let me see if I get this right. Get your curvature first. For finer details that require more geo, apply necessary subd levels to the mesh. Add the detail with newly available geo and then subd again after adding holding edges on said details.

It's very intresting! Can we switch between low and high topology many times during modeling? If yes, how we can do it properly?
@Elementza3 ай бұрын
No not really... usually we set a blockout and work towards more details. If we make a save on each stage then its easier to fix things in chanve something goes off

Another great tutorial 🔥 However i have a doubt. Today i was looking artstation, and i came across a Sci-fi helmet model, the model had many panel breaks like the one you created in the example. My question is, If i wanted to recreate the same model do i i need to model with different shapes or do i need to model it in one piece and add the panel breaks later ? Because in my opinion it would be too dificult to model it in one piece.

Hi Sam... since you mentioned you have the workshop available to you, no worries, that topic is already covered in detail. More than I can answer in one comment line :) Also feel free to use our Discord for any related questions, might be easier

hi ,In ZBrush, you can use high density in some areas to create details without applying it to the whole mesh. Is it possible to apply this method in polygonal modeling?
@Elementza4 ай бұрын
Yes we can for sure, but I would say ONLY after we know and understand the purpose of the object, and IF there is no surface impact. But for anyone just starting with 3D modeling, I would suggest building strong topology foundations first, then its gonna be easier to understand which rules are not set in stone, and which are. Hope this helps!

Hey... Whats the Hex value of the tan color of the models? Not a Maya user, but I like that color a lot. TIA.
