wow, this made me want to do more. I bet she never thought herself as an advocate for domestic violence and sexual assault when she was younger. Gosh, you never know what amazing things you can do if you stand up for what you believe in. She is an amazing women, she is strong and she is a powerful woman.

I listened to this entire thing and was so excited to. shes so absolutely just joyous and its infectious you cant watch her without smiling she just lights up my life! besides being so insanely eloquent and passionate and truthful and being such an advocate. she didnt have to do this she has a full time career and a family but she just had to and shes executing that so beautifully I cannot even imagine the amount of peoples lives shes changed/saved, mine included. shes truly one of the celebrities that has had the most positive impact on the world. shes just so special I just cant even believe shes real. I want to be just like her. everyone on earth should want to be just like her.

Mariska is an exceptional human being. can you imagine carrying the burden of so many victims when she is only an actress. people tell her their personal stories and reach out to her because of a character she plays on TV. if it was someone else they would have ignored those victims but Mariska is helping those people. she is utilizing the platform for good purpose instead of walking away. she doesn't have to do any of this. i admire her courage and patience with her fans.

just talking is the first step. that can help society in massive ways. as it stands every society in the world keeps issues like domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse behind closed doors because mainly they're scared of what they think will happen if they talk about it. at the end of the day, like Mariska said, it's just like the issue of AIDS. nobody wanted to talk about that because of the stigma and fear but look at society now on that issue. people talking changes a lot of stuff
