In the early church and during the time of the Reformation, many of our forefathers in the faith were persecuted, tortured, and sometimes martyred because of their steadfast refusal to compromise the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. Ours, on the other hand, is an age of doctrinal timidity and compromise.
