Might take a while to track down my tape of this but unfortunately I didn't record the whole programme. After this it cut to the start of a feature on Salford Lad's Club but I can't explain why I didn't at least let the recording run for that.

@@mrdisposablerazor Cool thank you - its just I work at a TV archive and we're trying to track down the date for this particular show - we have a few based in Manchester - but this particular one, it might be the only surviving copy of the interview.

It's an excerpt from a feature on Salford which is why I put that but so far no-one seems to have been able to confirm which pub.

A lot of joey holts pubs are set out similar but it looks very much like the forresters

Good call. You'd assume it had to be one of his regular haunts and that the TV crew had to go to him. I did go to The George a couple of times but we're talking 1989 and assume it was the lounge bar we were in so it didn't ring a bell.
