Worked in an office building at Polo Park in Winnipeg around 12 years ago. Mid way up the building, right under the SE runway, and my office faced the airport. All of a sudden, I hear these massive engines spool up, and THREE CF17's come out of seemingly nowhere and take off one after the other. They were huge!! I just sat and watched in wonder as they quickly climbed up and over the building. Video reminded me of that cool moment. Great video!

Three summers there....one set of wings....too many sad repatiations though. 🇨🇦 Is paradise. Thank u CF keeping i t so. Our Countries Hero's.

THe place has changed a lot since I was posted there doing my contact training coming from the Field Engineers in 1981, on my contact training I was only qualified to parks, starts and refuels on the CC-130 Hercules E & H Models, the CC-137 Boeing 707 and whatever else showed up. I was there from Sepotember 1981 to March 1982, went on my Aero Engine Basic Course at CFB Borden, then was posted to 416(AW)Squadron at CFB Chatham, New Brunswick in July 1982 until December 1984, then back to Trenton until March 1989 then out to CFB Comox on Vancouver Island. CFB Trenton was a great spot to work.

Whites Road is just at the end of the runway. You can see how close that dump truck is to the Hercules. I would get blasted by jet wash in my Miata everyday on my way to work. What a rush!

Nice short field landing on the 17. That DHC5 landing was butter and not letting the nose drop through is the mark of a master. Only bird missing for me , would have been a 330 MRTT. Nice compilation. Kudos for being out in that rain. Awesome job.

Since I was born, there were always Buffalos at Trenton, 424 in this case. I twice flew, as a young passenger across Canada on CC-115s. All milk-run stops for cargo drop/pickup and Fuel! Being unpressurized, the Buffalo was uncomfortable compared to planes which can fly higher in the atmosphere (CC-130, CC-137). There is an oxygen tank/mask next to the fabric porta-potty for anyone needing some extra grunt in their lungs. I saw no one use it. For the most part they had to stay between 8,000 and 10,000 ft for this reason. On one trip heading West, we reached about 100 miles from the Rockies, the loadmaster visted the bay and commanded that all were required to secure ourselves and belongings. They were battening down the hatches as it were. Approximately 50NM of serious thunderstorm weather was nearby. About 10 minutes later we hit waves of turbulence. It was very much paint-shaker action inside the plane. I have never once puked on a plane, but this event was the ONLY time I deployed the bag ready to do so. It was easy to think the whole Aircraft would just break in half, but it did not. After approx 15 minutes, everything calmed down. The turbulence was judged as 'Moderate'. I do NOT want to know what Severe Turbulence is about!

That half-runway stop and take off was awesome (CC-177). I know some of the video angles used here for CYTR. If I fly home next year, can we meet and discuss your other angles? Or get some multiple perspectives?
