Hi Lars. Thanks for this video. I have a question that is not exactly related to this video. When using the dominant cycle to predict the market turns using the Millard’s cycle highlighter, there is a so-called “ideal” cycle plotted (green dashed line). I was wondering how that ideal cycle is calculated? The magnitude and start time of the sine function.

On the daily chart I see that the cRSI setting is 112 and the 2nd strongest cycle length is 112 days. Why did you not set it to half of 112 (56)? When you talked about the weekly chart and its 250 week cycle, you set the cRSI cycle length to half that, or 120. Does it make that much difference, either set it to cycle length or HALF cycle length? Thank you.

I used 120 (half of the 250) - which is quite similar to the 112. So their is an harmonic relation half of the 250 ~ 112 cycle. So 120 pretty much fits to have the full cycle length 120 and half of the cycle length 250. The next lower length would then be the 56. But I always like to use the "longest" setting that makes sense from the detected cycles.

I would like to suggest some data for palladium: WisdomTree Physical Palladium Fund (PHPD). If you prefer a ratio, could you look at (for example) palladium / gold ratio?

is there a sector/asset class or ETF which bundles stocks/companies in the "platinum minin and refining" area? That would be interesting as a possible ratio analysis.

Three of these major platinum mines are located in South Africa while the remaining other major platinum mine resides within Russia.” ... “About 70% of all new mined platinum supplies come from South Africa where mining labor strikes, instability, and turmoil have become the normal state of affairs. Platinum’s supply is thus much more vulnerable to both mining and political disruptions compared to other ubiquitously mined and sought after precious metals like silver and gold.”

thanks for your feedback. I always try to find a balance between current analysis (first 15-20min) and time for questions and open "live" discussion (final 20min). Trying to improve that balance and timing. So keep your feedback coming!
