Hey, do you mean the whole front fascia that covers the air vents too?

I didn't, the car had a third-party stereo that had been retro-fitted by a previous owner but it didn't work

@@MarksTechVlogs Oh, thank you for commenting back! I’m trying to figure out if it’s easy or not to change the original screen radio with a newer one with CarPlay, as in my 453 it’s far more difficult to find options if you had a touch screen than a plain radio. I’ll keep investigating 😁

@@CarolaClavo I'm fairly sure in the 431 you can just do a pretty straight swap as the only extra is the fascia part as shown in my video...this is the part ebay.us/iAwXkc - I'd recommend paying the extra for something like the Pioneer CarPlay stereo amzn.to/3S0WlTK or Sony one amzn.to/3NLE5LJ (I've used both and both are great) as a lot of the cheaper ones don't have the RAM to work well or have weird non-standard shape bodies so don't fit as well

@@MarksTechVlogs I bought a Chinese one and there was a bit of going back and forth with the seller to have a 9” screen since I didn’t find any options. It for this 451 I will recommend them to choose a well known brand because the owner is not really a techie person and will be at ease with a easier and trustable radio. Thanks again 🙂

I can’t actually find a link to that stereo. Your best bet might be to look up the measurements of the Pioneer one I’ve linked in the description and see if the dimensions match the one you’re looking at

I didn’t know that was a thing…your best bet (if you don’t want to remove the area where the radio is to check yourself) is to join one of the smart car Facebook groups and ask there…there’s people there with much more knowledge about the smart cars than I have! 😀

Tx Mark, just went outside (rain stopped) and checked. After some pulling and pushing I removed the center part of the dashboard and for your information: there’s nothing there. Only on the upside a very tiny cable set for the ventilation and in the bottom part a simple cable for the hazard blinkers. So despite it is common use nowadays to put standard wiring in every car in those days there were separate cable design options per model and set of accessories probably … 😂
