Smoking and gambling are a deal breaker for me, and I would've told the experts that from the start. I'm totally allergic to strong smells and his breath has to be yucky!

Derek seems to be trying! If you want something to work you don't attack someone you have a conversation. She seems so angry. If smoking was a deal breaker should have told the experts this from day one. As for Tom the bus situation keep an open mind and make it fun. Little spaces are not that bad and life is one big journey.

Smoking part is tricky. Some people hate the smell of smoking (in mouth/room/car/etc) and it's hard/expensive to get rid of it. That's why she doesn't get romantic. It just turn her off. so she doesn't want any smoke at all. Occasionally is not acceptable. If he really love her and want the marriage, he should do what ever it take. Stop smoking is hard...but not that hard if u love somebody and make up your mind. mind and love are powerful thing. Anything is possible.

Smoking is a deal breaker, but she didn't even give him a chance to make it better. If Heather listened and didn't hound Derek off the rip maybe he would've been more open about the idea of not smoking

The biggest problem is she originally told him she was ok with it! Then when she confronted him and he said he didn't think it was a big deal because they were in their honeymoon and to give him a chance, she wouldn't listen. It honestly seemed like she was looking for some excuse to cut and run and him smoking was it. He was 100% right with comparing it to her drinking. She was most likely drinking more than she would in her everyday life because they were on their honeymoon and he was doing the same, just with smoking weed. But it's exactly the same concept. He seemed like he was willing to give up the smoking but she wasn't willing to give him a chance. She's just written him off already. It's sad actually and explains why she was alone.

+LindsayG But in the matchmaking she said she was okay with occasionally smoking but then Derek poor guy asked about it and she said it was okej but then held on to it as a grudge and threw it in his face after moaping around for daya about it until he bought it up.... Then it blew up! I bet they get divorced and he will meet a great girl and she will forever be single

@9:38 That guy doesn't get enough credit. I don't get how girls just flip a switch. I've had conversation with my exs about smoking and I let them know I don't want it to become a habit because I don't want them to die early but it doesn't mean I care about them less because I see them smoking. Women need to be a bit open minded. His wife over reacted and I'm saying this as a woman. No judgement just a bit of criticisim.
