I went to school with a girl that was going through that. I saw bruises on her arms. I went home told my dad. He reached out to a friend who was a social worker. They took her out of that home let her come stay with us until they could find her a permanent home. She's working for the police department now and is still a very dear friend of mine.

The little boy was an Angel. That was revealed when he walked through the few people standing at the gravesite. All of the children the Angel and girl were running to are other children who had been in similar circumstances. Other Angels from Heaven. May God bless you and your family and loved ones. ✝️

The little boy was her angel. He appeared to her in a form comfortable to her, at a time in her life when there was no one else to love her. When her time was coming to depart this world. He befriended her and showed her someone cared about her. After her death he was there to welcome her to “a place she is loved”. The problem is real. The song and story are sad. But the role of the angel is beautiful. Because they are sent to help us by the one who loves us. “So she flies to a place she is loved”

This was my life growing up, im 55 today and I still have trust issues. If there is one advice I can give to anyone who even thinks about hitting a child DON'T DO IT! That will live in that child's mind forever and trust is forever broken to that parent and there will always be scars.

This song always makes me cry it brings back memories from my childhood that I'm fighting to get over. I'm glad you said some people are demonic possessed. That is what I tell some people cause not everyone believes me when I say my parents were demons or possessed. There is no other way to explain there behavior and the things me and my siblings went through.

There is a difference between discipline and abuse. I spanked my biological kids. When we became foster parents we took in a one year old that was bruised and filthy and hungry. THAT is abuse. We were blessed to adopt her and she’s now a third grader and the light of our life. On our first court date and I saw the biological parents my husband had to hold me back and I wound up in ER with a cardiac arrhythmia. The rage I felt was terrifying. When we got her she was bruised all over, the bottom of her feet to her sweet little cheeks. I know vengeance is the Lord’s, but that day if my husband hadn’t held me back I’d have gone to jail.

This was a true story she wrote. I can't imagine😢 My sisters been an addict for years. I have 2 children of my own and for the last 11 years I have had sole custody of her son.. He was 1 when I got him. 5 years ago she had a girl. The baby was born with with draws to cocaine😡 They still let her take the baby home. I got custody after she overdosed in my arms when she was 2 months. By the grace of God she lived. So many kids go through so much

Child abuse is often found in schools and this was another reason school shutdowns were so harmful. Yet now we have to worry about what they are teaching them. Feels like a vicious circle. Oh my mom in the 60s worked at the psych unit at Hurley Medival Center in Flint Michigan anf a woman.was brought in by the police, her husband had come home from work and his wife had baked their baby like a roast in the oven. My mom said this was her first patient she had a hard time helping.

Just to remind people that this song is not about Martina’s sister and her daughter, that was a lie that was spread throughout social media. Angela is a character in this song. “The song is a power ballad, centering on a main theme of child abuse. The narrator tells a story about a 7-year-old girl named Angela Carter, who endures severe abuse at the hands of her mother. The abuse is silently questioned by Angela's teachers and neighbors, but goes unreported. By the song's end, Angela is killed by her mother during another act of abuse, and goes on to an afterlife where "she is loved" more than she was on earth. The song is very similar to the life of Judith Barsi, a child actress who was murdered along with her mother by her abusive father at the age of ten under very similar (and yet far more gruesome) circumstances, with Barsi's gravestone also bearing the phrase “our concrete angel.” However, the relation is a pure coincidence.”

Thr children at the end of the video were all "concrete angels," their short lives on Earth represented on the tombstones around them. Angela finally went to "a place where she's loved. " I am disappointed that you cut the end of the video short. There were phone numbers and resources to report child abuse.

Violence breed’s violence. If a child does wrong you should talk to them, get them to understand what they did that upset you. A child needs to take responsibility for their actions. Hitting a child with a belt is abuse. Send them to their room or take away privileges. Violence has never thought a child right from wrong. Violence comes from a parent who gets angry

Sadly it happens more than you think. Abuse can follow generations through the family. Dad abused me, grandpa abused my dad, he and his father were abused by my great grandmother. It was easy for teachers to miss I was in football and wrestling. They could’ve just believed that’s where those bruises came from

It's a much more light-hearted song that always makes me smile. It's kind of a woman's version of a mid-life crisis.

The teacher should go to jail. I believe they have a legal obligation to report suspected child abuse. Of course this is just a music video. But, even if this is not specifically about one case, it is based on what so many do live.

I can’t speak for all states, but where I live they’re mandatory reporters. Unfortunately the reports don’t always go where they should. Even the ones that do end up falling through cracks because child services rarely actually do their jobs. I know that from years of experience of being a mandatory reporter.

What you should be doing is saying to your god: "Are you serious? Ah come on, why don't you stop this? Then ask yourself why you are ok with him not stopping it. I say this as a person that was once a devoted Christian and a Minster and after watching this video I said same things to my god and myself and couldn't reconcile that he doesn't with him being an all-loving and all-powerful god. It was the start of a very short and quick journey to first being anti-god to being an atheist. Less that 3 months of study, research and reflection and that journey was finished. I realized that if god and the bible are real, then I and most people are better than the biblical god because most people would stop it if they could. If people are better than god then why consider him god. Such a god is of no more value than no god at all.

I was interested in hearing what a Pastor would have to say about this because the idea that God would send a boy angel isn't exactly Biblical. You seem to have missed the point entirely. The little boy was killed by child abuse and so were all other children who appear at the end of the video. The reason why the little boy doesn't cry or do anything is nobody else even sees him. He knows what's going to happen and he's there (sent by God) to take her hand and bring her to heaven. To be honest, sir, I found your comments about sex and rape and putting children in an oven to be distasteful in light of what this video is really about.
