United need to do what ferguson used to do in big away games and pack the midfield with battlers I think right now the best united could do would be a midfield of mainoo, casemiro and Amrabat for big away games and Mount coming in for Amrabat in other games Bruno and rashford need to be phased out of the starting eleven before eventually being sold otherwise united will never progress as a team.

The reason Garnacho had a muted game is because we were attacking only from the left. And rashford was so wasteful

I wish the decision makers can see how much damage these extra games are doing to the progress of the sport as a whole.

Whatever defence we use we can still defeat Chelsea the issue has not been the defence its been the midfield and wingers who havent been covering space nicely whether its the manager's instructions or not we dont know. As long as they give it 100% we'll be fine. So we lost but as we saw our goals were caused by the space we give opposition, ETH is living on thin ice

There has been talk of Kieran McKenna become the coach under the New Ineos system; that could be a very smart move as Ineos don't want a traditional manager anymore and Ten Hag will probably go to Ajax.

I think Bruno and Mount together will leave plenty of space for kobbie to run consequently he will be tired

I think the training must be too intense with all of these injuries, because the vast majority of our injuries seem to happen in training. Maybe it's the defenders sprinting back trying to catch up with Rashford and Garnacho all the time, or maybe the players aren't getting a full week off every 6 weeks to rest their muscles. Or maybe it's a kind of a cascade effect where the players can't take a week off because other players are injured.. But the amount of injuries our defenders have gotten this season is crazy. Something is not right though, either the players aren't listening to their bodies, or the coaching staff are pushing them too hard. To be honest I'd rather have unfit players than injured players..

Mount , Bruno and Mainoo in the same midfield? We might ship 7 or 8.

Why can't Ten Hag bring a player from the Academy to play in the left back position? That's what they are there for!

Totally agree on the mid-press idea. We don't have the players to play high-press but Ten Hag seems very persistent with it. He would probably rather lose his job than abandon his high-press dream.

I get why the FBs are playing as they are as we have Liverpool at the weekend. Just for the sake of consistency as ye definitely wants awb on Salah. Mount hasn't played enough minutes since injury to start. He could end up just getting a muscle injury

Though UTD beat a floundering Chelsea last season, Chelsea tore through the midfield regularly and that was BEFORE this season's early warning vs Wolves (followed by so many others...); Chelsea again missed a hatful at OT before McT connected twice. Why keep riding the luck when absolutely a win is required? Solidity in defence & midfield must be addressed imo as Chelsea are finding their feet, to save the back line esp if Maguire is played (and he has shown a few slow thinking moments of late!) Bruno was hobbling vs Lpool & Mainoo might get knackered too if he is constantly having to run back and slog around at 18yo ffs. So, Amrabat AND Casimiro, with one simply as a stopper is an idea to consider; with Bruno and Mainoo. So, maybe only two dedicated attackers, which would be a change but could they cope? For that, giving Garnacho, who looked tired (mind you, they all did) last time out, a rest is maybe a good idea to enable the extra body in midfield. Then, if UTD are winning relatively well or desperate to get a goal back later on, Amad could come on for a midfielder/full back. I would not drop Rashford atm, since I expect he is motivated to regain proper form for a summer call up!

I think for that game and Liverpool game as well we should start with diamond 4 midfielders and garnacho with rashford strikers Casimero (amrabat) mount maino and bruno and leave MCT on the bench

These players are playing once a week and still getting injured clearly they’re doing too much training and the recovery regimen is flawed .. it doesn’t matter if ur a professional footballer or just the avg joe at the gym .. u need rest time to avoid injures .. train intense but keep it short give more rest day and more short intense training

I would rather see this type of games morph into a classic 4-4-2, saturating the midfield in order to prevent those huge gaps we have left before. Kobbie and Casemiro as double 5's and just ahead of them, Bruno and Mount chasing and pressing IN MIDFIELD, not up front. We need control, we need to keep the team compact. I'd sacrifice one up front for this, aiming for a boring 1-0 or maybe 2-0, but without that caos that has been killing us.. and for that, Hojlund to collect the ball and link play and Garnacho to bring that pace and aggresiveness in 1v1 situations

Squad depth has been a problem all season, especially the drop off from the starters to those coming in. When the starters have struggled, it makes me shudder how much poorer those coming in have been doing in training. This game is going to highlight that issue, and may be a basketball game. I just hope United start well and get ahead, because then Chelsea may lose their heads. Unfortunately the opposite is also possible. Am going for a 3-2 win, hoping Amad takes his chance and steps up. I think Dalot should stay at RB because I believe our best players should play in best positions. AWB was ok at LB, but put Dalot there and we won't be playing out from back. Mainoo needs support in double pivot. If Mount and Amad start then hopefully they can help out deeper and play Bruno in his best position (10). I'd drop Rashford for Amad and put Garnacho on LW (Amad on RW). I agree with the rest of the lineup prediction.
