Have to be smart. Pick up some ‘low risk’, low/no fee transfers, on short contracts that will plug obvious holes (cb, dm) with the view that they may only be with us for a year, or more, if successful.

I think this Summer will be about clearing deadwood and if a deal or two is available going for it. Starting the season bringing in more younger talents from U18 and letting ETH have a squad he can have a lot more control over hoping Rashford will get the boot, his sale alone could pay for two or three new talents.

There's still time for Dan Ashworth to be in place but if not I think Omar Berrada & Jason Wilcox will oversee the recruitment this summer & that will include the future of Ten Hag but I think Ten Hag will stsy for the time being as we'll be focusing on bringing the right people in. Hopefully we can bring in someone like Julian Ward aswell to be our new Head of Recruitment. Either way u look at it patience is gonna be needed. Gotta back this new process

I have got a question: Dan Ashworth and Omer Berrada are both on gardening leave and cant officially start working yet, but we are going for Jason Wilcox and I am 100% sure Omer Berrada suggested to go for him because he knows him from his time at city. So my questions is, isn't it possible dan and omer berrada are working on the transfer and manager strategy even now, just not officially. That was a ballsy move by Brailsford, firing his bosses brother! 🤣 But, I think there are a lot of brains between Ineos and the potential new people, and I'm pretty sure they'll get it right. And like you said, a sneaky chat with Berrada here, quick call to Ashworth there, and meetings with ETH, and they will probably do OK.

This is a “big” transfer window. But more in terms of having a proper reset like we should have done two years ago. This summer is about having a clear out and identifying the players we want to keep long term. And then focusing on building the right structures and principles. How do we want to play? What is the team’s philosophy and identity? Going position by position and working out what type of players fit that philosophy. Then identifying the players and coaches over the next few years to bring in that fit that philosophy. We are not fixing the issues with this club in a window. Better to hold fire and not burn through more cash before you have a proper strategy. That will come from ashworth, berrada, wilcox and Radcliffe working together to figure it out. Ineos have already said the focus will be on finding and developing young players. So we can dismiss the fears of a bunch of old vets coming in. It took Edwards and klopp a good few years to build their squad. Arsenal the same. Would much rather a quiet summer in terms of incomings if it coincided with a clear out and clear strategy with a more long term approach. It is a big summer. But to set the foundations for the long term. Not any short term fixes.

Potential signings: Frimpong, Branthwaite, Todibo, Andre, Antonio Silva, Bremer, Joao Neves, K. Thuram, Olise, Neto, Nico Williams, Toney, Rodrigo Muniz. For me, Frimpong, Branthwaite, Onana, Olise, and a free transfer for some sort of striker who is capable of doing a good job is probably as much united can hope for. And even at that it's wishful thinking. If Juventus are as rumoured interested in Greenwood I'd try do some sort of exchange for Bremer. This is where Berrada and the boys really earn their bonus.

If we try and swing for the fences this summer, that’s where we’d really mess up. Could take years of undoing. Safe but strong summer, set the foundations and then build on it in January and summer 25. Trust the process

Going to be an exciting summer but honestly think that with no CL qualification and getting quite small fees for the likes of DVB and other fringe players means that only a few players will be coming in

If we can get rid of players who are on too much money and make no effort along side all the players that just arent good enough. Then signings can happen. Id rather we field kids for a season if it means fixing the club
