Whilst watching neighbouring farmers harvest their crops I was reminded of this model which I had looked at many times but thought of it as being not worthy of a video. When I found a second one and then remembered that I had a can of John Deere green paint, I could not pass up the opportunity for a double model makeover with a custom colour scheme.
Having made this video I now realise that this model was an amazingly detailed project which must have been very challenging for the Matchbox team to mass produce, and was crying out for a makeover.

Marty, I am actually in tears to see that you are back doing what we all love to watch you doing. Your videos are a reminder of childhood days ( I had this toy and the carry case as well) and seeing them again brings back so many happy memories. I'm a 45 year old disabled electrical lineman and I'm currently fighting for disability! It's been tough dealing with the fact I'm not able to do things anymore and this month makes 3 years since I became disabled. I've been battling depression throughout this ordeal as well and I don't smile much anymore. However, when I watch your videos, they never fail to make me smile, laugh, and enjoy something positive. You do great work on the models and I love how you pay attention to every little detail. Keep up the great work Marty and can't wait for the next video!!

Another great makeover! Wish I'd claimed half of my brother and my matchbox cars, but when I went looking for them I was told he had taken all of them some years before. I remember playing with this combine, thanks for the memories.

We have Matchbox '70s iteration of the combine harvester (generic) - one in red and a later release painted in John Deere green.

Good to see you back in action, Marty. Will you be doing a tour of your workshop at some point? I will be having one at our 2nd home in Thailand when I retire in 5 years, so seeing how others are laid out will give me a few ideas. 😊 Speaking of Uri Geller, I met him a few years back and watched him rub the spoon with one finger, a few inches from my eyes, to it's eventual seperation.
