18 күн бұрынTake a tour of the Tokyo Webworld map in this latest trailer for Marvel Rivals, an upcoming cooperative Super Hero team-based PVP shooter game coming to PC. A Closed Alpha test for Marvel Rivals will be available beginning on May 10, 2024.
Another world has emerged from the Timestream Entanglement in Marvel Rivals! It's time to have some ramen and sushi after that nature walk! I'm thrilled that these foods still retain their classic flavors even in Tokyo of 2099! But it is a pity that there aren't any Kaiju or giant robots fighting in the city anymore...
However, now there's something worse: mega corporations like Alchemax! With them watching the streets of Shin-Shibuya, even Super Heroes have to move in the shadows. That is unless a massive rift in the Web of Life and Destiny threatens to tear the Multiverse appears! With great power comes great responsibility and it's up to the Web-Warriors to save the streets of Tokyo 2099. I hope they find friendly folks to help out, because their neighborhood got a whole lot bigger!
In Marvel Rivals, assemble an ever-evolving all-star squad of Super Heroes and Super Villains while battling with unique super powers across a dynamic lineup of destructible maps from across the Marvel Multiverse. Squad up and fight in team-based, third-person 6v6 battles in this upcoming free-to-play game from developer NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games.

@user-us9yg5wq6i I'd say this game takes a bit of out of every single competitive shooter out there since the survey to enter the closed beta has a barrage of questions asking people what games people play and enjoy. However the whole neon style of the map here doesn't scream exactly Hanamura for me

@@NadeemShekh-uy9zn This company is a sister company and are owned by Blizzard don't be mistaken. Marvel Rivals is basically a reskinned Ow2 with slightly different mechanics. Might be a great thing.

How the music hits at 0:15 is just 🔥 and even though it’s got a feel of Hanamura it’s still looking like it’s own thing. Incredible work from the design and music teams!

@@simonf9653 no it's not. NetEase had a partnership with Blizzard to release their games in China, which fell apart a while ago, but more recently seems to be reinstated. They're not a part of Blizzard.

To be fair, it's not really Marvel's fault that the map looks so similar to Overwatch. I'm pretty sure that this is what a city like this will look in like 70 years, not all of them of course, but there's bound to be cities that look like Hanamura and this.

I’m seeing people wonder why it looks similar or why it’s be in this time/setting but holy cow it really is just hanamura. Like dang marvel your 90 years of history with thousands of characters/settings/backstories and you choose somewhere we’ve never seen before in the comics so you can cash in on that Asian overwatch market. Like not New York 2099, not some dojo that wolverine would’ve seen, not madripoor, Asgard, the danger room, reg New York…. Hanamura
