This evil would-be dictator of the Savage Land can counter Rouges absorption abilities, about to use Storm /Havok as an energy source, and formidable enough that even Magneto doesn't dare to underestimate him! I'm sorry Neal Adam and the crew had to walk around Vampires being taboo in comics, at the time; but with creations like Sauron, there's possibilities for anything!

He also made a cameo in Wolverine & The X-Men as one of Magento's prisoners. I had no idea his name was a tribute to Sauron from LOTR. All this time I thought it was a coincidence.

So overlooked Sauron is not one to be messed with, the X-Men animation gave him justice his human counterpart couldn’t control himself his powers were ridiculous and even put storm under his control, definitely could have ruled over the Savage Land with an iron fist
