Yeah Nintendo did help make this game and they're publishing it. Without them it wouldn't even exist. Same with Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive. Honestly considering Activision published the first 2 MUA games, would you rather have that and have to pay for half the characters and a 50 dollar season pass instead of a 20 dollar one or have a great game with no monetization exclusive to Switch?

I never realized how much level design can change the feel of a game until I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. In the earlier games I loved knocking enemies through the walls in Xavier’s Mansion with energy based characters like Cyclops and Storm and throwing cars and trucks on the city streets with physically powerful characters like Captain Marvel and Rogue But in this game you just run through big metal tubes and fight on big square metal platforms. The most interesting environment interaction is throwing.. big metal boxes (that explode for some reason). Idk it just takes alot away from the experience imo

I have unforgettable memories of playing the first UA with my dad on the wii when I was a kid. It was an absolute blast. Shame this is a switch exclusive - I was hoping to get some nostalgia in by playing this one through with him 10 years later.

One of my favorite games of the year! I grew up playing these games with my dad and wasn’t a huge fan of them or anything, but idk this feels like a linear middle market PS2 brawler, and at the same time it’s so refreshing in today’s market that I’m having a blast with what’s honestly a mediocre game for some reason idk what it is but the game is just super fun. If you have someone to coop then pick this one up!

I absolutely love this game. Sure, Team Ninja played it a bit safe as far as the gameplay goes but I don't think that's a bad thing at all being that the 1st 2 were very enjoyable. As far as the difficulty spikes I've noticed it happens when people don't properly use the cubes and ISO-8 stones to make the characters stronger.

Your 6/10 score seems spot on. I specifically got this to play co-op with my kid and it's cool to play as the huge list of characters, but the camera and mechanics are below mediocre, so we end up playing through a couple scenes, then moving to Borderlands or Diablo. The "Friendly" difficulty setting doesn't seem to make boss fights any easier, while the trash fights don't matter anyway. It's certainly not the smoothest co-op experience, but it could easily be improved with patches.

Honestly my favorite part of the Ultimate Alliance games were all the obscure superheros ( 2 is how I learned who the heck Ms Marvel was) so im glad they kept that aspect in.

The only song in the game that really stood out to me was "Mutant Melee", which is the song played for the "Xavier Institute" level. It had a 90s Animated Series vibe to it, which is probably why I can't get it out of my head. LoL

Yeah, the leveling system is a bit tedious. I hate the ISO-8 and level up cubes. In the first game, all the characters leveled up automatically. But i kinda like the infinity trials. I already got magneto, elektra and loki. Still working my way to get thanos. 7/10 for me

You have to read the tips. The Synergy attacks create *specific* synergy attacks. They create attacks based in the skill synergy effect. They actually have specific names. They're not unique to specific characters they're effect specific.
