BODY PARTS - I can't believe you didn't mention that the film came out around the time of the arrest of Jeffrey Dahmer. The release of this film in the wake of his crimes was perceived by the general public as very poor taste. Also, what's a "NECROMONICON"? Did you mean "NECRONOMICON"?

Dead Alive (what Brain Dead is called in the states)is so great!!! I don’t normally care for horror/comedy but it’s just fantastic and at that time was the bloodiest film I’ve ever seen. Dude goes through the crowd of zombies holding his lawnmower out like a shield!!! I really like Mimic as well. Virus was cool. Castle Freak is fantastic, there was a series of Vampire movies that came out around that time that had that same kind of low budget thing going called Sub Species. There were 4-5 of them, not all of them good but there were at least 3 I really enjoyed. There’s another sort of low budget sci-fi/horror film called Fortress that came out around that time that I truly enjoyed but it’s hard to find streaming. All of those came out when I was reading Fangoria magazine

The value and charms of these movies listed despite their commercial failure, was never lost on me. I seen these movies and I have sympathy for all those involved in making them, but one thing I will say is horror doesn’t need to be standard or on a straightforward level. Horror is so much more flexible and delves into various forms of horror, how it is told, how it is visualized, the imagination behind, the subtle details, the sub genres it branches into.

_EVENT HORIZON_ *really was a very wronged and underestimated film.* *This film really surprised me, mainly because it was directed by Paul W.S Anderson. For those who know his filmography, you know that he is not one of the public's favorite directors, especially from the gaming community.* *He was always a mediocre, average director. His films aren't those things. But with this film....* _EVENT HORIZON..._ *it really was a surprise. A good surprise, because the film is great. It has all the elements that any Lovecraft fan loves.* *It's a shame the film wasn't recognized at the time, but now it's getting the true recognition it deserves. As it has already earned the title of "cult", it is a film that is truly ahead of its time. With decent performances, a story that keeps you hooked until the end, and every Lovecraft fan is obliged to watch.* *Another very unfair film was* _VIRUS._ *It's a good film, with decent performances, too, especially from Jamie Lee Curtis.* *I hope it gets real recognition too, because this film is really worth watching.*

I have seen most of these at some point but been a long time since I watched them. The Frighteners and Stir of Echoes are by far my favorites on the list. I missed Castle freak somehow so will check that out eventually . Alot of 90s Horror in my opinion is more Psychological Thriller which I like but then enters Sci Fi territory which is not my bag. I think of horror as Haunted Houses and Haunted Mansions, graveyards Regular Ghosts and 80s Slasher style. If you like Sci Fi ish and drama pace maybe you will dig some 90s Horror ish movies on this list.

In the mouth of madness is one of my favorite horror films and its still so creepy after dozens of watches. The scene where the woman is crab walking still gives me the creeps, or the old lady at the inn who becomes a horrible creature herself. Event Horizon im surprised is on this list because everyone i know has seen it. I found The Frighteners to be more comedy than horror, its good though.

Switched off 3/4 of the way through. The narrator, unlike the films, was incredibly predictable. She just kept vomiting out the same crap over and over and over. Unpredictable Released at the same time as another film Lacked character empathy and depth Didn't have the expected, traditional scares Had marketing and distribution issues The audience was probably confused about what the film was about. Not what they audience expected Please get another narrator. This one appears to be an AI spouting superlatives like a thesaurus. Your channel is called marvellous videos, and it usually is, but FFS, don't use this narrator again because she isn't marvellous.

The full AI text, with repeating the same phrases over and over, having the same structure for all entries down to line by line, and the terrible AI narration upset me, terrible video. Also the pauses in the picture synced with the line changes makes me think only one human was involved in this and he sucked at propating and LLMs. Worst video on the channel so far, but I suspect this is what their future holds, so I'm unsubscribing.
