Dust your beef cubes with a little seasoned flour then brown it. As it cooks the browned flour will slough off and become the thickening agent. It will also cook off that 'flour' taste. Also, use diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce. Nice knives!

Went winter camping 2 years ago with my friend,had a great time. Tiny stove in the hot tent. It worked great. We brought 4 duffel bags of dead,ash. Never got cold. Cooked on charcoal out side. Had a out house 50 yards away. No one else crazy enough to be out there camping. Correct cots and zero sleeping bags. We had a blast. Lots of Crown Royal helped. Thanks for the upload. Keep camping.

pressure cookers don't lose a lot of water so you don't normally need as much as you would stovetop, only thing to pay attention to is if you're making something that has beans or lentils, they can expand and take in a lot of water, but if you don't have dry beans or lentils, the instant pot / pressure cooker will retain a lot of the liquid.

Awesome as always. Quick tip from a professional chef. If you thicken warm or hot liquid use a cold thinkener in this case mix the flower with the red wine until smooth and add to the beef bourguignon. That way no more flour lumps. Good luck and Bon Appetit 😊

Helpful tip....when you go to brown your meat and you wamt a thicker sauce, you want to add several tablespoons of flour to a bag, place your meat in the bag of flour then shake the bag well to coat all your meat...put a few tablespoons of oil in the pan after well coated add your meat in to brown. When you go to add your sauce, it will thicken automatically. Works great!

Dude, powdered gelatin instead of flour. A packet replaces the hours and hours of stock from bones but makes for a better mouth feel and reheats well versus a starch based thickener. Big fan, love the content!

Yea I find that when I use my Instapot, I have to doubly season because you usually trade depth of flavor for quick cooking time. Plus the steam in there creates more liquid than the stove so it tends to dilute the flavors as well.
