Evaporated milk is also an option. My mother used to use it. Milk and a good butter or margarine changes the flavor as well.

I bought a box from Aldi, cuz i was curious. The instructions say add 1 & 1/3 cup of flakes. What are flakes? Are they talking about plain cornflakes?

You can use any kind of butter or margarine. Depends on your personal tastes.

Recipe was too easy. I told you what to include. 2 pkgs. instant potatoes, Tbsp. garlic powder, 3 cups boiling water, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/3 pkg kerrygold butter or the amount of butter to your own personal taste.
