Don't blame the criminals. Blame the policies of those who govern those municipalities, who make it easier for people to become criminals by not prosecuting shoplifters, as well as decriminalizing thefts under a certain amount.

Just moved from California. No one hides anything they’ve stealing. You just have to make sure they don’t knock you down on their way out with carts full of merchandise. If an employee tries to stop them, it’s a firing offense. It’s amazing to go in the stores here in ND!

Just watched a police arrest video of a woman who was arrested at Target for stealing Lego sets. She had rolls of Target register papers. Commenters said she either had a mole who would double print recipients so they can return for cash or selling on offerup, or likely using a fake paper recipient and just walking right out of the store with them!

some guy walked into target by my house jacked all legos and walked out and security can't touch them and by the police comes they get away with it

I don't think this is all stolen I suspect what happened is a legit investor/seller had his own existing collection and bought lego however started to take in stolen Lego from a thief likely at huge discount, and when caught they all where claimed stolen by cops.

How about Amazon? They allow registered secondary sellers buy out their stock and allow them to relist the item for triple retail. The product never leaves the warehouse and they even ship it for the seller. Rex Microfighter is the current example. Sold out in less than 12 hours and two minutes after relisted by secondary sellers.

If someone has for example a brand new $300.00 item for sale on any e-commerce site for only $100.00 the e-commerce sites are the ones who should investigate. Also, anyone buying this from a person's apartment or home with 50% off retail, take caution. The laws need to change; just look at how much these stores lost from just a couple of thieves.

California- that's how. It's a criminal's paradise- employees aren't allowed to stop thieves, cops don't make arrests, and prosecutors don't press charges.

I actually watched a video about this . This was after the store had closed .I don't know why , but no alarm was mentioned as this guy just smashed windows and cleaned out the store .
