Massive Vintage Model Train Haul

I've been waiting to go though this lot of model train stuff I got at larkspur line train store for a while now. I'm pretty happy with this haul, lots vintage model train stuff some of which dates back to the 1940s & 1950s. These should be some interesting projects for the future.

I believe that the New York Central car is the tender to the steam locomotive. Back in the day, New York Central had streamline steam locomotives that had tenders that were similar to that car.

That Marx 6000 Southern Pacific loco will run, those things are bullet proof. Just put a drop of oil on the felt pad between the brushes and another drop on the output gear on the other side and she'll probably take right off. The most common problem with these is the E-unit getting stuck, but you can usually free that up by spraying a little contact cleaner up inside the E-unit.

Thats a great haul! I'm actually very surprised that that UP SD40-2 has a blinking beacon on the top. These are gonna be some good fixer uppers!

Oh by the way that gas/electric at one time was called a doodle bug in the model you have from Bockman is a Bockmans spectrum which is their higher priced better quality products ! 🌊🐺

SMT the articulated locomotive is a Northern Pacific 2-8-8-4 Yellowstone.

Now that I think about it the engines said southern Pacific and the caboose said seven Pacific you may have the entire train right there ! The sets are worth more money ! Especially if they are complete ! Track and transformer optional ! But the train itself as a set is worth the money !!!
