No it didn't lmfao the trip to the Ark itself took over a month. Halo: Combat Evolved: September 19 - 22, 2552. Halo 2: October 20 - November 17, 2552 Halo 3: November 17, 2552 - March 3, 2553 So overall the events went on for around 4-5 months.

He's already an unstoppable killing machine. Disregarding the fact that Infinite has a past-his-prime Chief getting bodied by a Brute chieftain when chieftains were basically afternoon tea for him in his prime because that in itself was stupid. Oh, and the Spartan-killers are a supposed threat, yet Chief ONCE AGAIN walks through them. Hell, the Sanghelli had an entire elite class dedicated to the type of threats that Chief embodies. Yes, the same race that effectively kicked the Brute's back to the stone age had an elite ARMY designed to handle the kind of threat that Chief was, and guess what? He beat them, too. He didn't just beat them, though. He damaged their reputation by proxy of being so efficient and capable that the Prophets replaced them with a lesser race out of a misguided belief that the Sanghelli had grown too complacent. They only realized too late that it wasn't because the Sanghelli were complacent, but because Chief is such a significant threat on his own that even an elite ARMY of soldiers trained to handle those kinds of threats were simply outclassed. Even the Gravemind saw Chief as such a significant threat that he tried to lure him into a trap, failed, attempted it a second time, teamed up with Chief to eliminate the Covenant as a distraction, and then sent ALL ITS FORCES at Chief and STILL FAILED. If the primordial body-jacking hive-mind alien dust particles can't stop one super-soldier, there is literally no chance that a crappy, under-equipped army of Covenant rejects are going to harm him. And Infinite is basically Chief's comeback tour after taking a 6 month space nap. Locke and the IV's are so incompetent that Chief woke up and spent a week cleaning up their mess. A WEEK. Chief did in a freaking week what it took a handful of IV's SIX MONTHS to fail at. ON HIS OWN.

@@RE-45. If that cutscene was lore accurate, Red Team would've easily killed Atriox. Spartans can see in the dark (no flashlights needed) so they would've immediately seen him standing in the middle of the room and blown his brains out.

@@dah500 Atriox to be fair, is like if a brute had spartan armor and a backstory of constant warfare. His inclusion into the lore makes Truth look incredibly stupid to replace elites with brutes in retrospect (since the brutes being blindly loyal clearly isn't the case at all, they're a power culture and magnetize the most powerful leader. A sickly prophet in a chair was NEVER going to have their respect in the long term...)

I don’t mind it too bad. We’ve seen chief get beaten in combat before. Not to mention we’ve already seen Atriox body 3 (albeit relatively weak) Spartan 2s single-handedly, so it’s safe to say he could probably defeat someone like Chief, who canonically isn’t actually the strongest/fastest/smartest Spartan and is basically just the luckiest. Not to mention it’s a good way to show how intimidating our new villain is. Still fucking dumb how they followed that scene up with “atriox is DEAD!” though lol

The chief by this point is so experienced he is easily by far the best spartan II, not the strongest or fastest or not his feats speak for themselves. He literally teleported into high charity, the capital of the covenant and fought his way through it killing countless brutes. Atriox might be an extremely strong and tough brute, but he is just that. Another brute. Spartan II's could literally smash in skulls with a single melee attack and the master chiefs upper cut didn't even faze atriox. It isn't that he got beat that annoys me, he was compeltely taken off guard by one of the most powerful brutes there are (again like the arbiter atriox is honestly the equal to the master chief in a way, he isn't the fastest or strongest among the brutes but he has something the rest don't) it's how badly he got beat.

@@Ripa-Moramee Atriox isn't just some brute. He rallied a significant following of Covenant, fought against his former masters and managed to hold them off for decades. He had the stones to go against the Chief, which, I know is not the point. He definitely got done dirty by 343 because they didn't know wtf they were doing.
