He was to harsh on here but to be fair I think she needed a little scare cause she was way to cocky.

I think Felix was really humbled a lot over the course of that season, and I'm very happy to witness that transformation. She's a firecracker - I really adore her, but for some reason the camera always seemed to shy away from her feisty side. I think Felix grew a lot, both as a chef and as a person, and I think Masterchef did her a world of good!

I just hit the episode where Felix got eliminated and I couldn't help but have to find and watch her audition again. To be honest, I didn't like her attitude in this audition. I was surprised, however, she didn't show the same kind of arrogance she did here (may be it was a good thing she got served a humble pie early on). She was being a good sport throughout the competition. I remember that one time she was saved from an elimination test but turned it down and said she wanted to cook. People say she cried a lot and should be an actress instead, but judging from the way she treated other contestants even at her lowest points in the competition, I have to say she deserves a lot of respect.

Maybe Gordon was so mean because he wanted to give her a reality check and bring her back to earth before the real competition starts.

I always loved Joe and Gordon's little wars throughout this show

I agree that Felix is stunning, however I don't think Gordon intended to be mean, as he was not sure about her arrogance and slight rudeness at the beginning which do not represent professionalism in a chef. Remember it is not just the food they are judging on but character aswell, they want the whole package then just half.

I really like how Joe always takes a bite, looks into their eyes, doesn't say a word, then walks back. Keeps the suspense going.

I have a little theory: The judges have some way of telling eachother if they're gonna say yes or no. And maybe Gordon Ramsay thought it was a yes, but knew that the other judges would say yes? And then he said no, just to make her less cocky.

She did good in her stay, she was pretty strong.

Tartare (raw and cold) + Risotto (hot) = a bad idea.
