Things I found to be important about Dimash: Parents are well known singers, composers, producers in Kazakhstan As a toddler. he showed an interest in music. His family nurtured his talent. From the age of 5 or 6, his education had a major focus on music. Throughout his education he learned music, composition, theory, voice, performance etc. He has a masters working toward a PHD in music. His natural talent was nurtured and encouraged.He understands the mechanics of singing. Three things are very important to him: Country and the Kazakhstan culture His faith. He is a Muslim. World Peace. He has participated in various forums and public events in peace and peace has been at the core of many of the songs he has written. He said that he decided not to become an opera singer because it did not allow for interpretation and innovation. While his neo classical repertoire is large he is also a huge fan of Michael Jackson. He has recorded pop songs and has even rapped. His latest music has a jazzy feel. His family is still very much involved in his career.

His name is Igor Krutoy, if you see Igor at the piano he either composed the song, in the case of Stranger he composed that for Dimash, or he made the arrangement, Ave Maria, Dimash asked Igor to make an arrangement of this song, to be performed without the boundaries of language (vocalize), Dimash is all about Unification of Humanity and removing boundaries. Dimash is an Ambassador of Peace, he attended The Worldwide Convention of Religious Leaders, performed his original composition, The Story Of One Sky and met the Pope in 2022. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazahk and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him.The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. He wrote this song and others especially for Dimash’s wide vocal range. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Conocí a Dimash por casualidad en el 2017 y hasta hoy. Para mí ha sido un viaje maravilloso y lleno de sorpresas. Dimash se regala en cada actuación y se reta a si mismo, ninguna canción es interpretada igual, siempre añade o cambia algo para que sea personal y única. Puedes seguir con Hello, Sinful Passion, Olimpico, Golden, etc... Hay muchísimo por ver. Me encantó tu reacción y tus caras de sorpresa. It is perhaps the most magical traditional musical instrument of Kazakh people. From being a sacred solo-instrument that sounded at the hands of nomads. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He is kazakh He performs songs in 15 languages; Russian, English, Mandarin, Sicilian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Arabic ,French, German, Serbian, Turkish,Ukrainian, Kyrgyz,and Japanese. Besides his native Kazakh tongue. He speaks fluent Russian, which is still an official language in most former Soviet Republics. I discovered Dimash in August of 2020 and since then there has not been a single day without listening to him. I went down the rabbit hole and never left it. He is so phenomenally good and unique to himself. His music for me is leaps and bounds above everyone else. I'm glad John's love of Dimash has trickled down to others. We DEARS believe every person on the planet should hear his voice at least once and know his name. Thank you for the reactions and I am waiting eagerly for the next one. Take Care from California.

You cant have any preconceived expections about Dimash. He is exceptionally talented, having trained his voice for over 20 yrs. And will shock and surprise you every time. Go to The Singer competition in 2017 to hear SOS, when he was only 22. Then see the whole competition, with reactions from the other participants, you will be amazed there too. He gained worldwide recognition outside of China, where he was "discovered" on this show. You can get the backstory to Daybreak and Daididau, very important as they are true, very sad songs. If u think this was spectacular, wait till u see him sing Adagio, at The Singer. There are over 150 songs/performances from him, so u have a lot to get to. Please go to his official site, you can choose anything, you will not be disappointed at all PS the fans, called Dears by him, have seen and heard everything, so even if they give u suggestions, you can play them, or play something else, it will not really matter. Dimash is not only technically the best singer (not only range but also mastery of tenchinques and outstanding breath control) but he is also one of the best storytellers music-wise. He has a passion for every single one of his songs and is his own label. He chooses quality over fame and his main goal is to make people feel and live through his music. Plays multiple instruments, (co)produces some of his own music videos and creates music in different genres (he's even rapped in some songs). He has sung by now in 17(?)+ languages. He never takes any performance for granted, rewatches them and keeps improving every single detail for the next performance. He is one of the kidnest and humblest people on the planet and Ambassador for peace. This man is an angel. PS, he does 3+ hour long concerts with such heavy songs. Can you imagine? i can't even speak for that long

I discovered Dimash last month and now all I wanna do is watch other people react to him 😂. He’s so good! There is nothing else out there to compare him to. So unique, and such a humble, down to earth guy as well. You should check out his music video of “Be With Me.” He raps in that one and it’s so cool! Very different from his usual style.

Just amazingly beautiful voice

The first 2 songs were composed by the man on the piano, Igor Krutoy, a Russian/Ukrainian billionaire who came out of retirement to mentor and compose for Dimash. Ave Maria is a vocalise, or song without words. Dimash asked for an uplifting piece that would appeal to and uplift any religion or nationality. SOS is the song that catapulted him into international stardom after his appearance on the Chinese show I Am Singer in 2017. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and is now 29 years old. You have just been DIMASHIFIED!!! This was a digital show Dimash gave for his DEARS (fans) during the COVID pandemic. He had to stop his concert tours because of COVID. His fans wanted to see him and he and his group put together this digital show that was on the internet. I’m sure you should be able to find the whole show on his KZfaq channels, Dimash Qudaibergen and DimashAli. Dimash releases all of his concerts to the public and as you noticed at the concert where “ Stranger” was sung they do allow cameras and phones at his concerts. There really wasn’t an audience at the Digital Concert just his crew he works with. 😊❤️
