My head hurts, Krub! Not only do us Westerners have to copy with tones, where the same word can mean several different things according to the tone, but now you can convey the same sentiment or meaning in several different ways too? I watch a lot of Thai TV on KZfaq and hoped to be less reliant on the subtitles by learning some Thai, but now my brain just exploded. ;) Khob khun krub.

Thank you. This is a topic I have been confused about, and to be honest I still don't feel like 'mastering' the many ways to say 'a little', but this video definitely helped!

Great Video, I study thai thru various ways but your videos are really really great because of the way you explain things. 1 thing to note. You use the term Winning but a native english speaker would never say "The chance of winning you is slim" We would say "The chance of winning is slim" or "The chance of beating you is slim"

Thanks this comprehensive response to my request. There is more than a little to digest here. Based on the expression ช่อย .... หน่อย and interpreted meanings of individual words I assumed incorrectly that หน่อย was polite particle. After watching in detail I hope I understand why ได้นิดหน่อย rather than ได้นิดหน้อย is preferred.

Looks like you complicate things now with really small details. Keep it simple. More difficult words and sentence are no problem, but to analyse 1 word that even the explanation is not understandable and not clear is not necessary . I had the same problem with ‘sag’. Keep the explanation simple please. But I like your lessons and learned a lot with you. Keep on going.
