Selena was a natural born singer. she didn't have any training or vocal coaching. Also, all of her stage performances were spontaneous and nothing was choreographed. The band members that have been interviewed will tell you that they hardly ever rehearsed and kind of winged it. I think Selena didn't realize the big star she was becoming and to her this was just her job to perform so it was all second nature to her. I will always love SELENA.

I was at the store wearing a Selena shirt , just the other day and a man walked up to me and said what a tragedy… and I knew immediately he was referring to Selena . He was a 50+ year old white male. Just showing here EVERYONE loved her so much

Old fart here...I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Selena at a couple of clubs early in her career and I was blown away. I drove 200 miles to see her at this concert at the Astrodome and the last time was an outdoor concert near Corpus Christy. They were all magical and her fan base was the most devoted of any I've seen, and with good reason. The fans were little kids to aging grandma types, and all were loud but respectful. The grannies were the loudest, I believe.

New subscriber here from Houston! I had the privilege to see Selena when she was 18 yrs old playing at a rodeo in Texas. I was 17 yrs old. I was captivated then and still am today! This is my absolute favorite song by Selena and your reaction won my heart!

As a Texas native with 🇲🇽 roots. I looked up to Selena as a little girl! There are still a few songs that give me goosebumps when I listen to them and even cry a little. This is is one of them! Love Selena ❤️ she was taken way too soon 😫

Andy, in Corpus Christi, Selena is such a powerful presence. She was so dynamic, in changing her style and tone to meet the song. Add to that designing her own costumes, and her band’s. Such a great talent. I, also, find her ability to sing in Spanish so well, despite it not being her primary language.

I can't believe you are new to Selina's music. She has continued to inspire the not only the Latin community, but, I learned a few days ago that she is still the number ONE Tejano artist IN THE WORLD!! I wasn't shocked by that at all!! She is honored & loved world wide for her delivery within the lyrics, her performances & her passion! We must remember though!! Her brother was the writer of her music 🎶 & WOW!! HE KNEW HOW TO PACK A PUNCH IN writing WORDS!! & SHE KNEW HOW TO DELIVER THOSE PUNCHES!! Not only is she missed by the Latin community, but more & more, as she becomes even recognized by the younger generation, she is definitely missed by the new fans as well. Love your show!! First, I want to say that I loved watching you watching Selena. Your passion and comments were everything that I thought about and felt the first time that I watched this video. I have to say that the first time that I heard this song was in the movie about her life leading up to her death starring Jennifer Lopez. Jennifer gave an extraordinary performance. I don't know if you have seen the movie or not but check it out if you haven't watched it. I guarantee you will absolutely love it! It has been about 25 years since the movie, but I hope that her family knows we haven't forgotten her, and never will. My only regret is, I hadn't heard of Selena until her death because the media flooded the television and tabloids with her death. After that, I tried to watch all the videos that I could find of her concerts.

She is a legend. I love her so much. And I agree with the previous commenters. React to the whole Astrodome concert! All the live footage of this concert make me feel so emotional and I am thrilled you love this performance. Now excuse me, I’m going to go ugly cry because she was just an amazing person with a beautiful soul and so much talent. She’d be 51 years old this year if she were still with us.

Selena has the most critical fans globally now…even if English or Spanish is not your language…her music is globally by now and keeps growing and growing day by day…you be surprised how far her music goes…like Selena’s father said…sometimes it may not be just the music but Selena was and is til this day the most humble and kind and down to earth human being ever to perform…whatever “singer” you see now topping charts now they got nothing on Selena because they all are missing what Selena had…today’s singers only care for fame and fortune and fans are nothing for them…plus they don’t have the talent and vocals Selena had…a computer will do the work for all… plus Selena was raised and followed the jehovas witness religion…same religion I follow…and being humble and human kind is one characteristic of our religion.. Money and celebrity status will never be a priority for us ever…
