2 years later and this still my favourite video clip. She's living the "life" but she's not actually happy with it. So she throws it all away and restarts. The change in bike clearly show's this. This video has influences from Akira written all over it. The bike, the shape of the explosion, the fact that it takes place in a metropolitan Japanese city that resembles a cyberpunk futuristic Tokyo. This is by no means a bad thing, in fact I love finding things influenced by Akira, it just goes to show how beloved and revered the film and manga are. Love it.

I really like the story told in this video. I think she blew an emp in the city because she was tired of her life with all the technology and people trying to run her life. She wanted a simpler life, so she started fresh, and even her bike changed to a normal one as she escaped to her utopia or paradise. Every time I hear this song all I think about is starting fresh and to follow what my heart tells me. Thanks Mat Zo and Porter Robinson for the inspiration, its such a great song. I also must cop that phone!! Someone make one already lol.

It all makes sense now. "Lovin' You Was Easy" refers to the fame and success Porter Robinson had but ultimately wasn't happy with the type of music people expected him to make. Instead he decided to fuck it all instead of conforming to the mainstream and selling out, and the Worlds album was born. The lyrics "Lovin' You Was Easy" is like a farewell to the fame and rockstar life as the girl in the video rides leaves the uber high tech city life to a much more simpler life that she can really call home and true to herself. The girl's journey in this case is symbolic of Porter Robinson's likewise journey into producing the music he really wanted to create in the first place.

I have watched this video a bunch of times, and I believe I have figured it out. She blows up the city, but there isn't any other people shown in the city. So the city it self is a metaphor for her relationship with her boyfriend "Manager" and she destroys the city "relationship" and finds peace, just my opinion
