I'm guessing the M3 still has the mufflers... while the S5 doesn't. it still sounds amazing!!

On track even the RS model doesn't stand a chance against a M3, drag race is a truly a different story

@@voterking that's it as you say it's FUN... that's all such a car needs to be. Such a car is your second or third not the one you drive all the time and honestly if I just want to be fast in a straight line I'm better of with a X5M and good for everyday. My opineon, everybody has his own.

@@voterking In my opinion it's definitely fast enough and with the manual gearbox it's such good fun and the way it revs is unmatched, I'm not a fan of turbocharged engines (I have to confess I'm not entirely sure if the RS5/6 of which generation is or isn't so I won't say anything about this) but the fact the M3 is NA makes me such a huge fan of this car, the fact that on track its a long way faster than the opponents in this class is a bonus. I personally don't like sheer track day cars (KTM XBow etc.) so I won't bother with them even tho theyre faster. But I have to say I'm a bimmer fanboy, ever been always will be😂 I won't fight with anyone who likes other cars even tho in my mind they aren't just quite as good ;)

Yeah I was looking at 335i vs Audi thinking bmw all the way. And it was night and day. 335 was basic and old and Audi still felt modern

I have to disagree with you. I think it had always looked excellent, including now. You just can't compare it to a brand new one. I'd have no problem with one like that. The perfect balance of modern and analogue.

There is,someone picked around the injectors and the coils.

I own a B7 S4 which is essentially the same power plant minus the direct injection. Makes about 340HP claimed from the factory. I have a tune on mine, full exhaust without cats and it still feels pretty heavy and a bit slower than my friends bone stock B8.5 S4. That 3.0T is a great damn motor. If I had to chose it would be the 3.0T over the 4.2 all day. But the sound of the 4.2 is just amazing.

@@roncrawford5013 I agree. AUDI is much much better at building turbocharged engines than NA ones. My guy said he never dynoed a 4.2 that had the full power advertised by Audi. But I'd also take a 335i over that E92 any time...

The 3.0t is a supercharged, not turbocharged engine. If you are in the Connecticut area Ron Crawford, I'd be happy to let you run against my S6. It's a twin turbo V8 on an APR stage 1 tune. I was considering a 3.0t A6 when I happened on the S6. The 3.0t is definitely a great motor, and I agree the 4.2 sounds great

I think everyone is aware its supercharged that being said it still comes with a T badge people mistake think its turbo

Mine has a remap after seeing chris harris video on here worth a watch he puts a b8 s4 3.0 vs a rs4 then remaps the s4 and goes again

for sure considering his s5 is running only 220bhp or smth

Maybe cold weather package? My 99 and 05 had them as well.

The wiring will all be there its the same harness for every car and there probably already in the seats just need the switch on dashboard and maybe put a fuse in fusebox

@@kevroutledge26 if seats not fitted with electric from factory it's not as simple as that as I looked into it.

I hit 30mpg in my 11 A5 only when I drive it “normally” on the highway. But I also have the 8 speed auto trans

@@sum12k6 i get about 10 mpg, car has a new engine, but i actually drive the car instead of trying to compete with 2.0 tdi economy. I dont know what those guy are about..
