I really enjoyed Bob's appearances on the 1970's Match Game. Lots of memorable moments. His legacy will live on forever. Godspeed Bob. Thanks for all the memories.

"Come on (blank)." Only when Bob Barker and Johnny Olsen are around.
@blind_t27 жыл бұрын
Richard Bowley i think that's why the contestant called on bob last. a little too obvious, and it would've went from match game to price just that quick, seeing if the contestant had picked bob first, bob might've did somethng like this: contestant: bob bob: well then, John will you fetch me another contestant please? Jean: wrong show bob!
@paullarue20104 жыл бұрын
Yep. That saying is still around.

Look at it like this, when Gene presented the clue, he did advise the contestant to be careful whom she calls. With Bob on the panel, she wanted him to think about it, before she called on him, third. Of course, we got some of Charles' comedic commentary, before he gave his answer, Brett gave hers and finally, Bob. Of course, Gene would've had Johnny come up on stage to read the final clue to the Super Audience Match, as it was being revealed, which made Match Game more exciting. Now, how many times have you heard Price is Right references on Match Game? Think about it!!!

Yeah, "Come On Eileen" came out in 1983 after MATCH GAME left the air. "Cum On Feel The Noize" was a hit for Slade in 1973, but not a real big one in America until Quiet Riot had theirs, also in 1983.

Scope's Games right, she was a loyal friend, and knew that was so obvious, you didn't need a rocket scientist to figure that out, but playing Bob's old stall tactic against him i would say! build suspense.
