@@ky-gp4sz and incredibly raunchy. What made the 70s version great was that you couldn't say that stuff outright. Part of the fun was coming up with ways to say things. With today's version, they just straight up say it and it's no fun.
@bradcrawford19983 жыл бұрын
John, the FUN is gone because the TV laws are such that EVERYTHING has to be politically correct. God forbid everyone just relaxes, NO way. Every word said has to be scripted perfectly or someone will be offended, so we have what we have STIFF NO fun politically correct game shows. SAD, VERY SAD
@thomasmagnum3588 Жыл бұрын
So true ! That show could never survive in todays hyper-sensitive world where offending someone is a more serious crime than first degree murder. Twitterverse would erupt ! Media outlets would report on what three people said on Twitter! Gene Rayburn would be suspended! CBS would issue an apology ! Surely one day the pendulum will swing back, probably when this generation of snowflakes starts having grandchildren.

Not all the funny moments can be attributed to the lavish dinners they served these celebrities. Gene Rayburn said in an interview in the middle of season three there was talk of cancellation. Rayburn decided that if they were going to be cancelled they mine as well have as much fun before they go. Plus, these people were good friends who truly liked each other, and you know how crazy things can get when you are with your best friends.
