That silver paint is so much better looking than the chrome that most restorers seem to favour.

I have several of these and it’s not necessary to remove the seats. If they are loose, it’s possible to secure them again with a little CA glue prior to primer. Reproduction parts all have issues with fit and generally require some fettling with files. Nice finish! A great restoration!

I’ve always wanted to own a real Volkswagen bus. Good job in matching the paint, but I think you should’ve definitely put a clear coat over everything. Like other subscribers pointing this out, only the circle and the VW should’ve been painted Silver. I would’ve painted the bumpers too. Excellent fixed and the side door, it’s always amazing what a paper clip can fix. Keep up the excellent work.

Excellent restoration. Have similar problem with my homemade rear doors for my Dinky Toy AA Mini Van, so I will use the paper clip method for this model. Can also be used on the pole on the rear deck of both the Dinky and Corgi AEC Routemaster London Buses too among other models. Used a paper clip for two mislaid clips on my wife's Nissan Figaro's fuel injection jet and modular clips, car was miss firing the last time I had started the car and it ran on three cylinders, now runs on all four. Paper clips do come in handy for alot of things.

Leuk karretje geworden. Mooie kleuren. Gebruik voortaan twee kleine dotjes Bison Kit of Velpon, o.i.d.
@MatchboxRestoration5 жыл бұрын
