Matchbox restoration Guy Warrior Car Transporter No. K 8. Toy model cast.

The Guy Warrior car transporter model was produced by the Lesney plant in 1964-1970. To display subtitles in your language at the bottom of the video, please press C on your computer or the three dots on your mobile in the video. For the first 3 years, the color of the model was turquoise-orange, while in 68 the color was standardized to yellow. In 1969, a very similar DAF truck tractor was introduced in parallel. The Guy Warrior model was very popular among children because it was used to transport other models. I bought my copy quite damaged and I had to make new, missing gray tires. I made them of polyurethane dyed with a gray dye. I also made new plastic springs, which were broken. I recreated the stickers according to the original ones. An additional challenge was to create a King Size version box. I made them from a harder cardboard for greater stiffness. When I was a kid, My Grandma had a cardboard box in the closet. It held all my Matchbox Cars for me to play with when I visited. With each visit, she would surprise me with a new vehicle, that she would put in the box for me to find. This Transporter was one of them.😊 I'm 53 now, & just remembered that while watching this video. Thank You!😀

Doskonale. Kiedy zobaczyłem "czarny" ciągnik, model ten wydawał mi się zupełnie nieznany. W zieleni jest oczywiście inaczej. 😁 Przy okazji, dziękuję za umożliwienie mi zobaczyć "przez ramię", jak zrobić kolory dla regeneracji kół. thank you very much . Believe me, I'm doing it safely. Holding the model in my hand allows me to control the drilling temperature, which is not without significance because if it increases too much, the drill may break. And as you can see, I always drill a hole at low speed and it's okay. Best wishes

Amazing restoration, do not know why I had not seen it before. I got one for Christmas 1967. It came with 4 cars. One was a red Pontiac Grand Prix that the doors opened, I do not remember the other 3.

Excellent. Did you know that in the 1950s', the Jaguar Car Company of Browns Lane in Coventry bought Guy Motors of Wolverhampton. So the next range of Guy trucks were called 'Big Js'. I have a photograph of a Guy Warrior car transporter exactly like the Matchbox model loaded with new Mark X Jaguar Cars outside the Browns Lane factory gates.
