That was one of my favorite Matchboxes, I just loved it. You restore not only these wonderful little cars but also memories, thanks!

A very tidy restoration Paul and a clever little trick fixing the windscreen.👍 The lack of "likes" on the video is a bit of a shame. I don't think that's because of the quality of your work, rather the choice of casting. I wouldn't have bothered with this one; there are so many better Matchbox models out there in need of some help. I found your channel after a shoutout from Juan, over at Matchbox Resurrection; I've added a "like" and subscribed. You seem to have quite a few older Matchboxes in your more recent videos, I'll work my way through them. Good Luck with the channel and all the Best from Scotland, Dougie.

Thank you, this is my one of the first videos and that's why there is no such popularity yet, those added now enjoy much better interest. Best regards

Handy tip for using those ultrasonic cleaners with small parts/cars. Fill the tank with water and just use a cup big enough for the job to hold the cleaning fluid.

Awesome. I do have question. Sometimes when you remove the paint the paint some goo on the model, other times you put it in liquid with something caustic. How do you decided which method to use?
@PaulRestorer2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. Older paints are removed with caustic soda because they contained various admixtures to which chemicals do not react. However, caustic soda will not remove paint from a powder coated model.

@@PaulRestorer Och, moim też... Miałem ich ponad sto... Oszczędzałem na nie... Pamiętam cenę; 60 zł. to było drogo. Sporo z prezentowanych autek miałem, a gdy stałem się dorosły część sprzedałem, większość rozdałem. Gdzieś mi chyba kilka autek zostało. W każdym razie matchboxy to część mojego dzieciństwa. PS Link do Twoich programów dałem na portal społecznościowy *mewe* - pozdrawiam Artur

Jaki areograf używasz do tej restoracji? Wygląda na bardziej wygodny od klasycznych.

The modelling putty was really going the extra mile. Why restore the factory colours though? Mint examples are not hard to find. All that effort to restore to factory edition... should've gone yellow or lime green and come up with something like a 'pre-pro' replica.

Thank you
@denegillespie57674 жыл бұрын
Again, one more great restoration but for me this type of model is where Matchbox got it all so very wrong making these non relatable, futuristic cars and where I completely lost interest in there product. I suppose it was to fend off the Hotwheels challenge but it was the beginning of the end.
@PaulRestorer4 жыл бұрын
I also think that it was Leśna's mistake should go further by the way of classic cars and it would not end when it ended. Best wishes
