Matt Barnes opened up to VladTV about going to Orlando after playing for one season with the Suns. It was while he was playing on Orlando that the infamous "Kobe flinch" moment happened, which Matt broke down in detail during his interview. He also gave a back story of his history with Kobe, and the legendary Lakers player calling Matt up to see what his plans were the season after Orlando, which is when he joined Kobe on the Lakers. The part where he says he's 'looking at the whole play behind Kobe' but immediately tries to make Kobe flinch when there isn't a pass opportunity is a lie. I respect the way that Matt talks about Kobe in this interview, but to say anything other than he was trying to make Kobe flinch and didn't is a fallacy. Barnes tried to get Kobe and Kobe knew what was coming 10 steps ahead. Watching the actual whole lead up to this, Barnes was getting angry and wild, wild Kobe was level headed and didn't care because he knew he was the better player. Barnes tried to save face in this interview.

Look at both camera angles, it's clear the ball was not headed straight for Kobe's face. It went slightly to the left and past his face. Yes, it was close, but not a straight on pass fake like people claim. No wonder Kobe didn't flinch.

I met Matt back in the day when he use to play for the Fayetteville Patriots with my cousin Terrell McIntyre we all use to hangout and go to the clubs and he's a good dude and he's definitely a street cat so now I talk to him from time to time and he tells me he is in a good place now
