Conan, Sona, and Matt - I really can't tell you what a refuge this podcast has become from the chaos and sadness of the world right now. No matter how bad of a mood I'm in, you guys never fail to make me cackle like a witch until I start wheezing. So, thank you all. AND I KNEW THAT BACKGROUND WAS A RUSE, MATT! (as you can see, I also have a hard time being sincere).

Why do I find Gourley whispering "yeah" so comforting? Like, he sounds so gentle, I want to just unload my problems while he whispers "yeah" and "mmhmm" at me, I don't even care if he's listening.

The joke that Conan starts around 2:50 reminds me of The Office - Season 9 Episode 17 The Farm, when at Aunt Shirley's funeral one of the farmers arrives in a pick up truck and lists out the size of her farm, after asking whether any other tidbits have been mentioned.

Matt is slowly taking over this podcast, which is what Matt does. The problem is he doesn't understand the power that he harnesses. It's beyond him and he's just a vessel through which we all get the privilege of enjoying. Matt descended down from the mountain upon which all our hopes and dreams rested. He said unto thee, "Han, Muh Boogie" and it was all alright. Praise be unto thee boogie.

I marvel at the way in which Sona sarcastically drags out Conan's "toothless croc" joke supposedly to ridicule and kill the joke, but ends up making it great. She may be "The World's Worst Assistant", but her comedic timing and presence are key to this podcast.

@@ring7375 so, perhaps you haven't heard, but there's this highly contagious respiratory illness that's been going around, a little thing called covid 19, maybe you've been living under a rock somewhere. My guess is that Gourley, who just, JUST had a child, didn't want to possibly expose his newborn infant to covid, so he stayed home, because he can do his job perfectly well from there.

The first time I ever saw Matt Gourley was when he was playing a character on Harmonquest and came out with the line "I haven't seen such as these since I plowed the desert wetlands with the bones of the Crime Children," and he has continued to not disappoint ever since. Also tbh Eyesore is a jam.
