The Westside guys were truly on another level as far as the sheer aggression and "chip on your shoulder" attitude in which they would train! That Westside Documentary from a few years ago always gets me fired up to train!

Wtf kind of relationship is that. No loyalty then I’m out the door. For that reason, I’m glad Wenning left. Did the best thing he could do looking out for himself and set more world records after that.

Obviously i don’t know the guys personally but Louie had the talent to bring guys who have big egos to work together. I don’t see see anyone taking over the club with shit talk yet can talk everyone into working into a team

Matt has more knowledge than most and he knows it, hes not just another guy with big numbers. If he feels a little betrayed because hes not anywhere as respected as he should be thats totally understandable.

Every Wenning video should just be titled "Everyone listen to how great I am, and how much I know!"... Typical flex offender, his paid content is a joke and scam. Sad to lose respect for someone with such great numbers.... but numbers don't make the man.

Disagree. Matt puts out a LOT of quality content free. Since this is his profession, every free video is a job interview of sorts for prospective clients, of course he wants to present his qualifications and achievements. The information he provides is some of the best strength training instruction available. Your comment sounds a lot like jealousy.

@billybenoit647 Matt seems like a legit dude. No doubt hes very knowledgeable in this field although i think he seeks alot of recognition about what hes accomplished in the past & comes off being narcissistic 😂 Iv never heard any of the OG westside boys mention him in their stories its usually always Chuck (Top Dog) who Matt mentions all the time

There will never be another Westside Barbell again..that gym, the lifters, still have a reputation today after all this time. I still watch the old training videos from Westside Barbell, theres nothing out here now that compares.

Seriously. I'm more into strongman these days that pure powerlifting, but I still use those old videos and videos of Dave training people as inspiration. They always get my technique and form tighter, and gets me motivated as hell.

@@RevShifty Im a 51 year old Strongman who competes in masters class and a powerlifter. Love Strongman now...but those Westside Barbell videos... wow still get me motivated to lift heavy, train hard. Nothing out here now comes even close to Westside Barbell's old training videos night/day crews.
