The undone idea really works. As I was walking to the grocery store from my car, a man was pushing his cart to his car. He yelled across the way and said "good morning". It made my day and I still remember how it made me feel. So simple yet powerful.

Absolutely amazing presentation. I love the insight Bro Griffin shared about how we can get to know ourselves and the Saviour when we are in the process of prayer. So True! I loved what was also said about the importance of having other equally significant conversations with the Lord along with the everyday things that are routinely requested. I love the story Bro Halverson shared about his son. All the insights in this presentation were and are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for giving us the Lord's prayer in Aramaic. That was so beautiful to hear ♥️.

My missionary son that came home very sick (2/21) and eventually passed away 2 months ago (12/22). The ward members would often say, before his mission he’d bless the sacrament with such reverence that it would bring them to tears, they would open their eyes to check and see who was blessing the sacrament because it felt like it was the Savior himself blessing the sacrament. I miss him so much! but I know he’s hastening the work on the other side.

After each sacrament prayer, while waiting for the sacrament to be passed to me and after partaking, I have the prayers pulled up from gospel library and re-read them changing pronouns. Instead of reading the prayers intended for the congregation I make it 'for the one', me, and change to 'I', 'me', etc. In other words.......bless and sanctify this bread to MY soul as I partake of it......etc. It has really helped me internalize the ordinance more than ever.

I have always had a slight dichotomy with the words in the Lord's Prayer "Lead us not into temptation"! I have never been able to wrap my head around the idea the Lord would ever lead anyone into temptation! Just doesn't make sense to me! I have always suspected something was lost in the translation there. The JST makes a lot more sense!

I was told once to be careful of very pious people - their sins are the deepest...I have found this to be true. I was curious about the word 'hypocrite' so researched its etymology - my conclusion is hypo = under and crite (kritis) = to deceive therefore "under deception" works well to add a more 3D definition. When one is a hypocrite, they are placing others under a deception thus misleading them. That is exactly in line with my first comment about pious people whose aim is to deceive others into thinking they are super spiritual/righteous. I also think about the 'widow's mite' as a widow would have been such a lower class; also with no male in the synagogues or society back then, like now if you don't have a husband in the church, women miss out on so much. People would have thought and still do today, that widows' must be unworthy and any contribution would be near worthless. Not only did Jesus teach that every small amount is respected by God, but that a seemingly worthless contribution is rewarded by Him... I'm sure that also was an eye-opener for those who were taught that back then - perhaps we need to revisit that principle in our wards.

I sat listening to a prayer during a friend's funeral, and counted over 25 mentions of the name(s) of the Lord. About every fourth or fifth word was 'Jesus', 'God', 'Lord', or 'Christ', interspersed with 'We just want to...'. It was so hard to listen to, as the affectation of the speaker was one of performance, not prayer.

It depends on the context; every person born is a spiritual child of God because He is the Father of our spirit. You don’t have to believe in Him or His son for that to be a true statement. To be born again and receive His countenance then we must believe.

Before we came to this earth, when the sons (& daughters) of God shouted for joy that we were coming to this earth, we all were and still are sons and daughters of God. Chris becomes the Father of our Salvation once we believe in Him, but our status as God's sons and daughters never changes.
