So BLACK's hardest difficulty is BLACK OPS Mode. You need to complete all of the secondary objectives and blow up everything, pretty much forcing you to memorize every pick-up in the game. And no medkits hold onto on your person to heal you with the push of a button. But it is so difficult, that they give you an M16A2 with an underbarrel grenade launcher... and platinum weapons. Which means INFINITE AMMO for all weapons ! They knew it was going to be super difficult, but they still made it fun.
@ryanpeck33773 жыл бұрын
I beat Black Ops mode (ps2 version) It was hard as hell. You really have to memorize the entire game, pick ups and enemy locations are essential to know so you can save all your health for the head to head wave areas. I have more hours on that game than just about any other video game and played through it many many times on all difficulties

Criterion is still active today; they’re making the next Need for Speed title, which is set to be released in 2021. If anything, it’s the game’s spiritual successor, Bodycount, that’s more fit for a ‘Wha Happen?’ episode. With Raycevick’s video on the game and his covering of its troubled development, there might not be a need for one, but the material for it is there. There’s also a brief mention of the cancelled Black 2 in there. Also, you can skip the cutscenes in Black, but you’ll have to have watched them at least once to do so. The character you play as is Sgt. Jack Kellar, if you were wondering.

I think Matt knows that Criterion is still active, but it's just that Criterion is kind of a shell of what is was on the 6th gen. I Loved burnout 3, loved burnout revenge, liked paradise a lot. But nowadays in my opinion Criterion is only filling the gaps for EA, helping DICE with BF and pooping NFS almost every year.

Hi, weird gun person checking in: Yes, you can screw a suppressor on like that, but the barrel has to be specially threaded to allow it. I'm more weirded out by the ejection port (where the empty cases come out) being on the left side, but they probably wanted to have the spent brass flying across the screen to "look cool".

The suppressor (silencer) question you can just screw it on any gun with a threaded barrel but the complete silence of it is not a thing for most guns the main reason being that if the ammo you are using is not subsonic and as a result weaker since it's traveling slower its still gonna be loud regardless just less loud than it would normally be. The most quite result you can achieve would be a subsonic .22 and even then it's noticeable in close quarters.

I loved this stupid, silly game. Everything about the guns outside if names and overall appearance were exaggerated, because the design mentality followed the idea that the guns were the real stars of the game. Fun fact/Trivia: Every gun in the game is, effectively, a left hand variant. They all fling their brass to the left, despite the fact the player character is shooting with the right hand, because it was supposed to look cool and make shooting feel more visceral. In reality, this would be very impractical. Nobody wants brass flying towards their face, especially hot spent brass.
@kylenguyen73713 жыл бұрын
@@calska140 true, but a lefty would still have spent brass flying towards their face when firing. An after-market brass catch can be installed on many weapons that don't allow for a left side ejection port, though, which can alleviate some of the issue.

I remember they said the guns are supposed to be the star of this game. In the background of the main menu we have a left-handed ak-like thing being fired right handed. The bolt holds open on an empty mag, remains open as the empty mag is removed, and goes forward automatically when a loaded mag is inserted. The user then manually racks the bolt to reveal that a round was not chambered when the bolt dropped. That is the weirdest ak derivative I have ever seen. Does the fact that the developers were uksian partly explain this?

Hey Matt, weirdo gunman here to answer your question about slapping silencers on guns, if it'd just work? Short answer: Not really. You just kinda ruined a perfectly good suppressor. Long answer: If it were to work, that means you came into the mission, with an AK-47, with subsonic ammo, and no suppressor. To make sure you do not damage the silencer and quiet the gun down properly, you need subsonic ammunition. Subsonic ammo is not as loud, nor is it as fast, so less damage, but from a rifle and at those ranges, it doesn't matter to an unarmored unaware target.
